The purpose of this role is to have excellent relationship management, resolutions of queries and Governance and integrity over payments taking account of legislation (FICA, PFMA, authorised Delegation of Authority, approved budget)

 
THE KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS OF THE ROLE IN FOCUS, ARE: 
1. Creditors Payments (all projects)•Payments to creditors, based on creditors reconciliations received, using the following mediums:✓CATS 3✓Cheques•Reconciliation of payments to creditors statement. •Capturing of EFT payments into Accpac • Capture payment onto Accpac • Download from Accpac to CATS 3 through EFT advantage link • Obtain verification and release of EFT payments, in terms of the delegation of delegation ofauthority.
2.Foreign payments (All projects)•Capturing of foreign payments onto SCMB's CATS 3 system (International)•Management of Standard Bank international payments. • Obtain verification and release of foreign payments, in terms of the Delegation of Authority.
3.Inter-account Transfer • Transfer of funds, as and when needed, between bank accounts based on authorized transfer request, via the CATS 3 system.
4.Interest Payments, Confirmation of bank accounts • Monthly interest payments, via the CATS 3 system, in terms of the Delegation Authority.
 
5.Petty Cash • Issue petty cash, as required, after incumbent has signed relevant petty cash request form • Prepare petty cash reconciliation as and when required to replenish petty cash • Prepare cheque to replenish petty cash
6.Maintenance of the CATS 3 database • Annual review of the CATS 3 data base to ensure that all duplications and inactive accounts are removed. • Monthly maintenance of the CATS 3 database. • Ensure that the Accpac database and the CATS 3 database are in sync.
7. Back- up to Data Capturer and Senior Creditors Officer
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS •National Diploma or equivalent • Minimum 5 relevant experience with regards to payments • Accpac, Standard Bank, Excel, Microsoft Word • Time Management, Efficient, Accurate
