SALARY SCALE: R271 659/ R285 465/ R300 000/ R307 557/ R323 223/ R339 618/ R356 895/ R375 021 p.a. (excluding benefits)

REQUIREMENTS (CANDIDATE VALUER): At least six subjects of a National Diploma in Property Valuation or equivalent qualification (NQF 6). Successful completion of Property Economics and Finance subjects on first year level and knowledge of relevant acts are essential. Relevant experience and knowledge of AKTEX Inquiry Programme and Geographical Information System will serve as a strong recommendation. Computer literacy (MS Office Professional) and a valid code B driver’s license is essential.
REQUIREMENTS (JUNIOR VALUER): National Diploma in the Property Valuation or equivalent qualification (NQF 6). Successful completion of the practical work school as presented by South African Council for property Valuers Profession. 2 years relevant experience. Relevant experience and knowledge of AKTEX Inquiry Programme and Geographical Information System will serve as a strong recommendation. Computer literacy (MS Office Professional) and a valid code B driver’s license is essential.
REQUIREMENTS (SENIOR VALUER): A relevant B Degree in Property Valuation or equivalent qualification (NQF 7). Registration with SA Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional / Professional Associated Valuer. Five (5) years relevant experience. Knowledge in local Government systems, Deeds Web inquiry program and Geographic Information systems will be an advantage. Computer literacy is essential. Good communication and report writing skills Plus a valid code B driver’s license is required. The applicant will be required to work overtime as and when required.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Assist the Municipal Valuer with the compilation of a comprehensive valuation roll for rating purposes and with the maintenance thereof and assist with compiling annually a supplementary roll. Conduct inspections and do valuations on a daily basis for the above purposes. Collect and analyze market data.
Ensure that all legal requirements as prescribed by the Ordinance, the Professional Valuer Profession Act 47 of 2000 and the Municipal Valuer Property Rates Act 6 of 2004 are complied with. Conduct ad-hoc valuations as and when required for different purposes i.e. leasing, donations, selling, buying, insurance, etc.
