WORKSHOP ASSISTANT 
MUIZENBERG CAMPUS 
(R102 534 – R120 780 p.a plus 37%) 
This is a CONTRACT position from 1 June 2019 to 31 December 2019. 
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparing of training kitchen facilities for scheduled practical sessions 
• Assist lecturers with stocktaking of consumables and equipment 
• Replenish consumables as needed 
• Assist lecturer during practical session / demonstrations 
• Assist with preparation and setup of function / events 
• Assist in ensuring high level health and safety, cleanliness, food hygiene and safe working practices 
• To carry out all duties as required in the kitchen environment 
 
REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 9 / ABET Level 2 
• Computer literate 
 
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Driver’s licence 
• Hospitality Qualification 
• Working experience in Hospitality industry 
• Experience in working in an educational institution
