Minimum Requirements: B-Degree or BTech Civil (Water) Engineering or Chemistry -or Chemical Engineering(NQF Level 7) • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in a Water Purification/Distribution/Reticulation environment, with at least 3 years in project management and staff supervision • Valid Code B Drivers’ License • Registered or Eligible to Register as a Class V Process Controller as per R2834 or its amendment 
 
Other Requirements:  Computer literacy (MS Office applications) Required •Minimum Competency Units Standards as provided for in the MFMA or if candidate is not in possession of the unit standards be willing to obtain within 18 months of appointment •Proficiency in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape (read, write and speak) •Good management, human relations, interpersonal and communication skills • Analytical skills •High level of responsibility •Ability to give attention to detail •Good understanding of risk and performance management • Excellent presentation and project management skills •Willingness to work after normal working hours, and during emergencies •Must be able to operate within a team and under pressure • Attention to detail • Managerial/supervisory skills • Time management skills 
 

Added advantage: (Specialization in Water Purification Discipline will be an advantage) 
 
Responsibilities/Duties
Manage the maintenance and operation of the water treatment works to ensure uninterrupted services 
•Provide quality control services to ensure acceptable water quality and standards

Salary: R393 701.64 – R 511 003.08 (subject to evaluation) Plus benefits
