COMMUNITY AND PROTECTION SERVICES (TESTING STATION)

Minimum Requirements:  Senior Certificate (Grade 12). ● Registered grade A Examiner of Vehicles. ●Valid code A and EC driving licenses. ● 3 year’s minimum experience ● No criminal record 
 
Other Requirements: Computer literacy (MS Windows, Ms Office, e-Natis & Intranet). ●Perform examining of vehicles ● medically fit ● Good people skills, including ability to manage conflict effectively and efficiently. ●Must be able to function within a team. ●Must have a sound knowledge of SANS 10216:2010 requirements on Evaluation of Vehicles as well as National Road Traffic Act Regulations (Act, 93 of 1996) on Management of Vehicle Test stations and any other applicable legislations and guidelines. ●Client oriented ● Ability to communicate effectively in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa). ●Applicants must not have been involved in any fraudulent activity or any unprofessional behaviour previously. ●Must be able to perform the Management Representative duties for VTS as prescribed.


Responsibilities/Duties: Responsible for the application of procedures associated with vehicle testing ●Conduct roadworthy tests for all class vehicles. ●Responsible for adhering to Quality Assurance Manual requirements. ● Comply with SANS requirements for testing of vehicles for roadworthiness (SANS 10047:2009), SANS requirements for evaluation of vehicle test stations. (SANS 10216:2010), National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996) and any other relevant legislation. ●Combat Fraud and Corruption .Comply to health and safety requirements.
