Purpose of the job 
Perform ongoing monitoring of the information and communication technology events and alerts, assess potential risks and incidents, monitor industry notifications and provides second level information security incident resolution in a Security Operation Center (SOC), in shift working environment. 
 
Key Responsibility Areas 
  • Cyber security responsibilities. 
  • Perform security monitoring and incident handling to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets is not altered. 
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of security technologies, products and emerging ICT and IS threats. 
  • SOC responsibilities. 
  • Perform protective monitoring of the information and communication technologies events and alerts for malicious activity using Security 
  • Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools. 
  • Respond to and investigate events/alerts, assist with developing new security monitoring use cases, and ensure investigated activities are properly recorded and followed up with relevant support teams. 
 
Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum: Senior Certificate / Matric Information Technology or Information Security industry product certification such as Security +, CCNA or Certificate in Computer Science or Information Technology or Network Management, etc. 
Certificate: ITIL foundation and COBIT 5 Introduction will be an added advantage. At least one of the following certifications will be an advantage: Security+, Network+, A+, CCSA, CCSE, GCIA, GCIH, GNFA, and CCNP. 
Experience: 1-2 years Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure or Information Security (IS) or application life cycle management which may include the following: 
  • Experience of information technology or information security with firewalls, routers or antivirus appliances will be an advantage. 
  • Experience or worked in help desk. 
  • Experience of information security operations and security operation center will be an advantage; and 
  • Experience of information system security technical standards (e.g.: SSL certificates, anti-virus protection, etc.) will be an advantage. 
 
Technical Competencies Description 
Knowledge of: Good infrastructure and technology experience including demonstrable understanding of security operations. Good knowledge of security issues inherent in common corporate environments. Experience using Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) toolsets. Good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus (i.e. CSSP, Security+, etc.). Good infrastructure and technology skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware and security (Network +, CompTIA A+, etc.).

Purpose of the job 
To provide leadership, vision, direction, and structure to the supply chain management function internally, to drive commercially inspired supplier intelligence, build and run a value-added demand management capability, and work with broad stakeholders in refining and modernising the entire supply chain management system of the state. Facilitate the transformation of the IT industry through supply chain management to ensure the development of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs). 
 
Key Responsibility Areas 
  • Develop and lead the implementation of the annual supply chain management strategy that is aligned to the government and SITA Act. 
  • Drive the transformation and implementation of the procurement business model by refining and modernizing supply chain management processes within SITA and government-wide. 
  • Lead internal supply chain management function (contracts management, demand management, centre of excellence, and procurement) and facilitate government-wide procurement of IT goods and services. 
  • Build and run a value-added demand management capability that will enable the state to exploit the purchasing of IT goods and services. 
  • Develop and implement overarching policies, procedures, systems, structures, and frameworks for customer and vendor management to deliver best practice procurement and contract management solutions. 
  • Drive a commercially inspired supplier intelligence function that enables the state to fully exploit the local and international supply market. 
  • Use the inherent capability of the state system to transform the IT industry with a particular focus on empowerment within the marginalised sectors of the country.
  • Ensure effective management of resources (i.e., budget/finances, assets) within the Unit.

Qualifications and Experience 
Required Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, economics, finance, operations, or engineering. 
Experience: A minimum of 12 years of commercial experience in supply chain management and 3+ years working experience at an executive management level, including exposure to the following:
