Purpose of the job 
To lead the design, implementation, debugging, documentation, release and maintenance of software-based solutions, write code and enhance software/systems in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government. 
 
Key Responsibility Area 
  • Lead the design and development of new features for the software systems, and improvement of the existing ones.

Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum: 3-year National Higher Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) or related field. 
Certification: Linux Certification * Docker Certification * Kubernetes Certification 
 
Experience: 6 - 7 years’ experience with full software development lifecycle (SLDC), including solution development, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation. The experience must include Experience in solution analysis, design, and development for the development, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of systems within the corporate/public sector. Minimum 3 years’ extensive DevOps experience: •Utilise DevOps tools/technologies to establish automated CI/CD lifecycle for .Net and Java related solutions • Designing and implementing Docker, Docker-Compose and Kubernetes DevOps solutions in a Cloud Infrastructure environment • experience with GitLab • Linux Operating System • Design and implement monitoring reporting in a DevOps Environment• Understand HTTP(S), SSL certificates, Firewalls, Docker Networking, Docker Volumes/Binds, Environment Variables and VPNs • Experience in the Python 3 programming language, including: Successfully developed and implemented applications using waterfall and agile methodologies. Purpose of the job 
To plan, implement, maintain and support Network infrastructure, Network expansions and co-ordinate integrated activities across multiple functional lines including third parties to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements signed by SITA. 
 
Key Responsibility Areas 
  • Plan and implement infrastructure. 
  • Oversee the maintenance of the network infrastructure 
  • Perform incident management and attend to escalated requests by Network engineers to ensure that service level agreements are met 
  • Supervision of staff. 
 
Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum: 3-year National Diploma or Degree in IT related field (Computer Science, 
Information Technology/Engineering, BCom etc). Certificate in CCNA and CCNP or equivalent 
Experience: 6 - 7 years practical experience in Wide Area Network (WAN), Network topology, Network Design, Application Layer and routing protocols.

Purpose of the job 
This job is responsible for the proactive monitoring of Database Management Systems in the Mainframe or Midrange environment. The incumbent will also be responsible to maintain and support various database instances to ensure continuous service to the client. 
 
Key Responsibility Areas 
• Prepare Infrastructure for implementation and deployment; 
• Management and Administration of application, ADABAS database, patches and service packs; 
• Provide user support, 3rd party support, reporting and communication; 
• Report on the work of the section to ensure accountability; 
• Security and disaster recovery; 
• Develop procedures and standards for database administration and related services and monitor implementation thereof; 
 
Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum: 3-year National Higher Diploma / Degree in an ICT related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering). 
Experience: 6-7 years practical work experience of Natural ADABAS database administration on different platforms with management /supervisory responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organization this should include: Responsible for the creation, scheduling, and support of database backup and maintenance processes.
Implement changes to database subsystem variables. Performance verification after infrastructure upgrades and system IPLs, and IT Infrastructure to develop an understanding of data and information needs, identify solutions and improve the quality of service while providing support through the logical and physical design of databases. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus.

Qualifications and Experience

Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Prince 2 Practitioner and/or Programme Management 
Professional (PgMP) and/or Advanced Practitioner (MSP – Managing Successful Programmes) will be advantageous. 
Experience: A minimum of 8 - 10 years working experience, including expertise in: 
• 4 years in a leadership role in a complex project management or programme management environment 
• 4 years Project/Programme management experience as Project /Programme Manager 
• 4 years in a public/private sector IT environment.
