Purpose of the job 
Assistance and supervision of technical support services for the SAPS High Sites and SAPS Switching Centre facilities infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime. Ensure the general efficiencies of all electrical systems including but not limited to: UPS, electrical switchgear, cooling, fire protection systems, access control and emergency power generators. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be involved in the space allocation and power requirements for Switching Centre facilities infrastructure and all sites where there is such implementation. Assist with the administration of invoice submission, change control, site visits for due diligence, verification of installations, verification of repairs at various sites for various Installations as listed above. 
 
Key Responsibility Areas 
  • Assist with mitigating site downtime due to electrical plant failure 
  • Assist and Supervise SAPS High Sites and SAPS Switching Centre, etc. Infrastructure Upgrades 
  • Assist with effective contract management to manage a range of service providers' Eminent services to SITA 
  • Project management of Switching Centre, etc. infrastructure projects 
  • Ensure effective management of resources (i.e. budget/finances, asset). 
 
Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum Qualification: 3-Year National Diploma/Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or any relevant equivalent Engineering qualification @NQF level 6. ECSA registration as a candidate technician will give an added Advantage. 
Certifications: All the below certifications will be considered as an added advantage: CDFOM (Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Manager). Course in JBCC. Government Certificate of Competency, as defined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Project Management. 
 
Experience: 3 - 5 years’ industry related electrical power engineering experience which should include: Maintenance and operation of electrical plant in the area of complex ICT facilities or Critical mission facilities (such as Banks, Data Centres, Telecommunications network sites, or hospitals). Experience with (building) power system analysis and engineering. Experience with IT Infrastructure operations including detailed comprehension of high availability systems. Experience with project coordination, product evaluation, vendor or customer management. Experience with reviewing estimates of material and labour costs for repairs, replacements, and improvements to ensure that repairs are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner, on the electrical plant in the area of complex ICT facilities. Experience in working with electrical systems, simple controls, and mechanical systems. Experience with basic operation and controls of HVAC plant for medium to large installations.

Purpose of the job 
The incumbent will be responsible to conduct consulting assignments in the review of SITA strategic documents, give Supply Chain Management (SCM) Probity Audits and Revenue Assurance Services team advice and input, and set performance standards and guidelines for Internal Audit division to help improve the long-term efficiency and effectiveness of the division. Planning, Execution and Reporting of planned engagements as per the approved Internal Audit Plan to the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC) and Board, Planning, Execution and Reporting of Integrity Reviews on tenders above R10 million, including RFA’s and RFP’s to the Executive Bid Adjudication Committee (EBAC), Bid Procurement Committee (BPC) and the Board. Key Responsibility Area 
  • Update the annual Internal Audit strategic documents, Strategic and detailed operational audit schedules/plans for SCM and Revenue Assurance Services (SCM& RAS), in accordance with the acceptable audit standards by conducting an enterprise-wide risk assessment and within the stipulated timeframe so that an effective and efficient audit process exists to assist management and the board in achieving strategic objectives.

Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CA(SA). 
Experience: Minimum of 8 years' experience in an audit, SCM probity or integrity audit reviews and internal audit field of which 5 years of the total experience must have been in a management position. 
The incumbent will be required to engage with various stakeholders/role players and to travel nationally/internationally, as and when required and comply with IIA(SA) code of conduct. Added advantage, should have served Internal Audit Articles with IIASA or South African Institute Chartered. Accountant articles with SAICA under a training office.

  • Assist in the execution of strategies for the promotion of the Procurement transformation agenda (B BBEE, SMME, Local content, Black equity/ownership, industrialisation/manufacturing skills development, black youth, people living with disabilities, and black women) in order to develop the indigenous ICT sector and related industries. 
 
Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum: 3 - Year Diploma / Degree in a relevant discipline / NQF level 6. 
Experience: 4-5 years' experience applicable to the specified discipline. Understand the basic theoretical reasoning and detailed practical applications behind the process or system. 
 
Technical Competencies Description 
Knowledge of: Procurement and supply chain best practices SCM/Procurement processes and procedures Understanding of ICT commodities would be an added advantage Supply market research Commodity sourcing 
methodologies Data and spend analysis Implementation of sourcing strategies and processes Fact based Negotiations strategy implementation. Financial management and cost analysis Supply Chain analysis Risk management Legal aspects for Procurement Supplier relationship management Implementation of commercial value propositions Computer literacy Experience in Oracle ERP Systems, Database management systems, Procure to pay processes and e Procurement/e Tendering will be an added advantage.
