STATE DIAMOND TRADER AND THE VACANCY ADVERT
The State Diamond Trader is a state-owned entity established in terms of Section 14 of the Diamonds Amendment Act, 29 of 2005. It is classified as a Schedule 3b entity of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). We invite self-motivated young entrepreneurs to apply for participation within the Enterprise Development Programme.
TRAINING PROGRAMME PURPOSE
The purpose of the training programme is to expose aspiring young entrepreneurs to the functioning of the South African Diamond Beneficiation industry as well as the global diamond industry, through training on rough diamonds sorting, valuation, cutting & polishing, market analysis and trading. The ultimate purpose of this training programme is to produce young entrepreneurs that will contribute to adding the numbers of diamond manufactures in South Africa for trading purposes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Certified copy of matric certificate
• Post matric business management related education, diamond related education, proof of previous/current involvement in entrepreneurship will be advantageous
• Certified South African ID copy
• Awareness of the Diamond Act, 2005 and any related diamond legislation
• Availability of self-transportation to and from training facilities

A short 4-5 pages of diamond cutting and beneficiation business plan, detailed curriculum vitae, certified ID and qualifications copies must be forwarded to The Human Resources Manager, email hr@statediamondtrader.gov.za. Application without the above listed documents will not be considered. Documents submitted will be used for the programme recruitment process only.
