ASSISTANT MANAGER: GRANTS ADMINISTRATION 
R552 081.00 – R650 322.00 p.a exclusive of benefits 
Location: Nsimbini Local Office (Ref No: G1/2026) 
 
Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a B degree (NQF level 7) and/or a 3-year (NQF level 6) tertiary qualification in a relevant field, coupled with 3- 5 years' supervisory experience in the social security environment (at a supervisory level); Knowledge of SASSA's constitutional mandate, relevant policies and legislation is required, as is proficiency in social security management and poverty alleviation matters; Computer literacy and a valid driver's license are essential. 
 
The incumbent will be responsible for the overall management of the grants administration programme in the Local Office and will manage operations pertaining to Grant Administration in the Local Office; Provide client administration and paypoint management services; Implement client improvement services and manage service level agreements with service providers. Additionally, he/she will implement service delivery and client relations improvement services; Acquire data, analyse and manage information and manage resources (financial, human and equipment) within the Local Office. 
 
The Employment Equity Target: Preference will be given to African Male, followed by Indian Male and White Male respectively as at the time of appointment. 
 
 
 
 
 
SENIOR GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR: (LEVEL 7) X7 POSTS 
R325 101.00 – R382 959.00 p.a exclusive of benefits 
Location: Madadeni Local Office (Ref No: G2/2026), Greytown Local Office (Ref No: G3/2026), Pinetown Local Office (Ref No: G4/2026), Ongoye Local Office (Ref No: G5/2026), Izingolweni Local Office (Ref No: G6/2026), Vulamehlo Local Office (Ref No: G7/2026) and Port Shepstone (Ref No: G8/2026) 
 
Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6/7 as recognised by SAQA in the relevant field coupled with 3 years’ experience in Grants Administration; Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are essential. 
 
The incumbent will conduct quality assurance and completeness of supporting documents to applications; Verify applications, means test requirements and related declarations; Approve or Reject Applications for various grant types; Provide other grants value chain processes in relation to Beneficiary Maintenance, Medical Bookings of Assessments, Customer Care services and off-site services; Oversee and supervise the quality of the administration of social grants processes and advise on policies and processes within the grants application value chain, manage staff performance and resources.
