ASSISTANT MANAGER: OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Salary: R 393,711 – R463, 764 p.a. exclusive of benefit
Location: Sedibeng District Office (Ref: GP/SAS 16/02/2023)
Candidates should hold a three year relevant National Diploma/B Degree qualification (NQF Level 6/7), coupled with 3-5 year’s supervisory experience in the relevant field within Grants Administration Knowledge of SOCPEN and MIS, SASSA’s constitutional mandate and relevant policies and legislative in public management as well as of social security management and poverty alleviation matters; Computer literacy is essential and a valid driver’s license is a prerequisite.
The incumbent will manage the application to approval process pertaining to the grants value chain in the district; manage the rendering of administrative support in the District; Deal with individual problematic beneficiary cases referred to District office for investigation and comment and advice; Deal with overpayments in respect of alleged fraudulent cases; Manage, collate and draft reports on statistical issues on grants operational issues within the district; Manage SOCPEN training within the district; Gather social security operational information and report on the tendencies; Supervision of staff ;Provide advice on social assistant legislation, policies and procedures on beneficiary related matters.Ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PMFA, Chapter 6, and Part 3.

Computer and a valid driver’s license are essential.
The incumbent will assist with the management and administration of disability management in the Sedibeng District on and coordination thereof in Local Offices; Manage and administer Service Level Agreements with Medical Service Providers; Monitoring the implementation of disability processes within the District; Training and development; Provide advice on social assistant legislation, policies and procedures in relation to disability matters; Manage day-to-day operations within the Unit; Manage subordinates in the section. The incumbent will also be responsible for the overall management function in the Heidelberg/Ratanda local office grants administration. Manage the operations within the local offices pertaining to the grant application processes and ensure compliance to relevant policies and prescripts. Manage the provision of an effective customer service to beneficiaries. Ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PMFA, Chapter 6, and Part 3).
