About the Position
SARS has an exciting opportunity available for a delivery driven, forward thinking, strategic, self-motivated and dynamic Project Manager with solid experience in delivering IT Infrastructure, security and/or software development projects. A key attribute sought is passion for driving IT Infrastructure, security and/or software development projects positively engaging and integrating project teams. The applicant will be responsible for the management of various projects within the EPMO, will need to possess strong knowledge of IT and project management skillsets and be able to work closely with IT and business stakeholders, in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. This well-seasoned, proactive and energetic applicant will be required to take initiative and make project delivery optimisation decisions in order to meet project and in return organisational objectives.
Job Purpose
To manage, under supervision, components of projects within the specified time frame, budget, quality, innovation, legal requirements and contribute to the managing of multifunctional interfaces.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
Relevant National Diploma / Advanced Certificate in Project Management (NQF 6) AND 5-6 years' experience in managing software projects, IT and/or software environment of which 5 years is at knowledge worker level.
ALTERNATIVE #
Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 6-8 years related experience in managing projects (preferably IT projects), of which 5 years is at knowledge worker level.

We are looking for proactive Specialist: Developer at the Ops Specialist level who delivers clean, secure, and scalable code while translating complex business and data needs into practical solutions. If you excel in C#/.NET, MS SQL, data integration, and enjoy solving high‑impact technical challenges through collaboration and automation, this role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful enterprise‑wide value.
Job Purpose
To provide expertise, advice and support to deliver on operational implementation plans and / or associated service delivery processes, ensuring effective and efficient development, enhancements, implementation, maintenance and optimisation of application modules/subsystems, in order to continuously enhance service delivery.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in IT/Development in Computer Science/Engineering/Software Development/ Information Systems (Software Development), AND 5 - 7 years’ experience in an application development environment that includes large data sets of which 2 - 3 years working at a technical level.

Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 10 years in an application development environment that includes large data sets, of which 2 - 3 years at a technical level.
Industry Related Qualifications and Experience:

- Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (or similar level Microsoft certification in SQL Server) with skills in C# and large volume data processing applications. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services and SSRS an advantage.

- Extensive experience with Service Orientated Architecture.
- Extensive experience with cross platform and multi database technology data processing, including Microsoft SQL Server and DB2.
