About the Position
SARS is looking for an innovative, highly skilled, suitably experienced and results-driven business analyst, preferably with experience in an SAP HCM environment, who can demonstrate sound judgement and strong business acumen and will meaningfully contribute towards our higher purpose and service delivery to align with the SARS strategic objectives.
 
Job Purpose
To provide expertise, advice and support to deliver on operational implementation plans and / or associated service delivery processes, by providing governance and analysis output for a single large project or across a series of smaller related initiatives including but not limited to solution testing, while providing relevant industry experience to the process, in order to continuously enhance service delivery. Additionally, to identify, develop and implement effective technology solutions that address business needs, by performing business analysis tasks based on their insight into the business usage of information technology (IT) and utilising technology to add value to business.
 
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
Relevant National Diploma / Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Information Technology AND 3-4 years' experience in a SAP HCM environment and/or Business Analysis experience within a complex systems environment, of which 1–2 years at knowledge worker level.
ALTERNATIVE #

About the Position
SARS is looking for a dynamic individual who is highly skilled, suitably experienced and results-driven in the Information Technology Software Testing environment. The individual must be passionate about quality to ensure end-user satisfaction is reached to meaningfully contribute towards our higher purpose and service delivery to align with the SARS strategic objectives. The applicant will participate in the software development process and will be responsible for the test analysis.  This well-seasoned, proactive and energetic applicant will be required to take the initiative to ensure that the software meets high standards of quality.
 
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Senior Test Analyst is to analyse project specification documentation and to utilize the results thereof to create a set of testing capital to be used for the testing of a software system and its related processes. In addition, project team resource management and coordination activities in delivering testing outcomes form part of this job in accordance with the SARS standards.  
 
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required 
Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in a Computer Science / IT / Information Systems / Engineering AND 5 years' experience in a testing environment and must have completed, certified training in Software Testing Techniques (e.g. ITSEB or ISTQB Fundamental).

About the Position
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic DB2 LUW database administrator who will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of the DB2 database environment for high-profile systems at SARS. The individual will join a team of experienced DB2 database administrators to ensure the availability of the database systems, data, optimal performance & security of all DB2 database systems and provide support to internal as well as external clients.
The resource needs to be an experienced Bash and Korn shell scripting programmer and needs to be familiar with programming languages, more specific Python and C++.

About the Position
SARS seeks to appoint an innovative, highly skilled, and suitably experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Systems environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, sound judgement, and a proven ability to deliver high‑quality analytical insights and solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business needs into effective system requirements, drive process optimisation, and contribute meaningfully to organisational performance. Job Purpose

This position is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of IT infrastructure assets throughout the organisation, from acquisition to disposal. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of applicable regulations in order to accurately record IT assets in the Fixed Assets Register, and ensure effective tracking and reporting of asset value and ownership. Successful execution of this role will enable the Service Assets Hardware team to manage IT infrastructure hardware assets efficiently, supporting organisational compliance and minimising unnecessary expenditures.
To plan, manage and monitor the implementation of area specific activities and end-to-end lifecycle of the IT Infrastructure assets, by managing and controlling those assets in compliance with Internal Tangible Asset Management Policy and  related procedures, in order to deliver on approved operational plans and to continuously enhance service delivery.
