Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity that operates under the NQF Act, No. 67 of 2008. SAQA seeks to appoint a Graphic Designer to support the work of the Digital Multi-Media Specialist in designing content for various communication outputs
 
Requirements are:
Minimum Qualifications
  • An appropriately recognised qualification in Graphic Design, Data Visualisation, Multimedia, Fine
    Arts or equivalent at NQF Level 5.
 
Minimum Experience
  • One year of experience in graphic design in a communications environment, with a full and
    comprehensive portfolio, and the ability to use various design software including InDesign, Illustrator,
    and CorelDraw or similar.
 
Skills Required
  • Good knowledge of SAQA’s brand, designing for various communication outputs, including graphics,
    audio, and video material, for website and social media platforms, and understanding which platform
    is best suited for a particular type of communication.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, working to a specific brief, working under tight timelines, problem-solving, customer focus, project management, written and verbal communication should be the strengths of those aspiring for this appointment.
 
Key performance areas:
  • Assist in creating visual concepts
  •  Assist in designing and developing production, editing, and post-production of video, audio, and
    graphic material for SAQA
  • Assist in providing strategic communications advice and expertise to SAQA business units
  • Assist in designing SAQA communication material
  • Assist in production and provision of communication material for SAQA events

Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) wishes to invite applications from suitable candidates who qualify for the internship positions. This 24-month internship opportunity is ideal for young South African citizens who have the required qualifications and who want to gain workplace experience at SAQA. This is an ETDP SETA funded internship for unemployed graduates who have not participated in an internship previously.
 
Requirements are:
  • Intern: Database Administrator: Diploma in Information Technology or any other relevant qualifications (NQF Level 6)
  • Intern: Systems Developer: Diploma in Information Technology or any other relevant qualifications (NQF Level 6)
  • Intern: Desktop Support: Diploma in Information Technology or any other relevant qualifications (NQF Level 6)
  • Intern: Data Analysis : Degree in Information Management/Statistics or any other relevant qualification (NQF Level 7)
  • Intern: Data Loading: Degree in Information Management/Statistics or any other relevant qualification (NQF Level 7)
  • Intern: Verifications : Diploma/Degree in Information Management/Education/Administration or any other relevant qualification (NQF Level 6 or 7)
  • Intern: Evaluation of Foreign Qualifications (Verification): Diploma/Degree in Information Management or any relevant qualification (NQF Level 6 or 7)
  • Intern: Client Services: Diploma/Degree in Communication, Marketing/Public Relations, or any other relevant qualification (NQF Level 6 or 7)
  • Intern: Registration and Recognition (Evaluation) : Diploma/Degree in Education/Administration or any other relevant qualification (NQF Level 6 or 7)
