All Inclusive Salary Package: All-inclusive remuneration package of R1 101 468 – R1 297 476 per annum
Benefits: All-inclusive remuneration package of R1 101 468 – R1 297 476 per annum. The successful candidate may structure the total package for a 13th cheque. The employer’s contribution towards Housing, Medical Aid, and Pension is included in the total package.

Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity, an oversight body of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Act, No. 67 of 2008. The entity is charged with developing, fostering and maintaining an integrated and transparent national framework for the recognition of learning achievements, ensuring that:
• South African qualifications meet appropriate criteria and are internationally comparable.
• The country’s qualifications are of acceptable quality.
• The quality of education and training is enhanced.
• Access, mobility and progression within education, training and career paths are realised.
SAQA seeks to appoint a Manager: Human Resources to manage HR operations and service delivery across the organisation. Reporting to the Senior Manager: Human Resources, the incumbent will oversee day-to-day operations of the HR unit, facilitating a culture where employees optimally perform in a conducive climate that ensures growth and retention.
Requirements are:
Minimum Qualifications
- A recognised qualification at NQF Level 7 in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or equivalent.
- A relevant NQF Level 8 qualification and/or membership of the South African Board of HR Practice, will be an advantage.
Minimum Experience
- Six years as an HR Generalist, with three years in an HR supervisory role.
Knowledge, skills and competencies
- Practical knowledge of South African Labour legislation.
- Execution of the HR value chain (recruitment to employee exit).
- Knowledge of HR processes, procedures and policies.
- Knowledge of Sage 300 People.
- Knowledge of Performance Management Systems.
- Report writing.
- Talent management.
- Counselling, Conflict and dispute resolution.
- Business acumen.
- Mentoring and Coaching.
- Resilience, attention to detail and sound judgement.
- People Management.
Key performance areas:
Summary of duties
- Execute the HR Strategy and Plan.
- Manage the HR value chain from entry to exit.
- Facilitate healthy employee relations.
- Manage the Human Resources Information System.
- Ensure correct implementation of SAQA’s Conditions of Service.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR unit.
- Lead all HR projects and events.
- Manage the HR expenditure..
- Guide, advise and support management and staff on HR related legislation, policies and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate HR risks.
- Engage and manage service providers for outsourced HR services.
- Lead legislative compliance and reporting, internally and externally.
- Guide, mentor, coach and develop the HR team.
- Manage performance of the HR team.
SAQA will verify credit and criminal records as well as qualifications.
