Job Title: SUPERVISOR SYSTEM SUPPORT: PRODUCTION (C4): SYSTEM SUPPORT (X 1 POSITIONS) 
POSTBANK BLOEMFONTEIN
Reports toManager: System and Processes
 
Summation
Accountable and responsible for the effective supervision of System Support Section for all production related issues/tasks
 
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversees The Availability of all Systems in Postbank.
 
2. Flex-cube UBS and all other Systems used in Postbank
Handling security management of the system (roles, access etc.)
Authorise user access, new branches added to the system, interest rates, fees, new products and functions of the System Support Officers
Ensuring the smooth running of all Systems as well as resolve queries
 
3. Administration
Budgeting for and purchasing of hardware
Handling enquiries from personnel, Branch Managers, internal audit, external auditors and customers
Preparing training manuals and providing training to personnel
Staff management that also include Overtime, Acting and Standby
Project management
 
 
4. Existing Programs
Investigating changes and errors to existing programs and ensure a prompt resolution
Assist in the preparing of specifications for changes to current programs
Verify implementation of changes on live systems
 
5. Support Functions
Successful implementation of interest changes, fees etc.
Responsible for EFT files and Fitness report.
Handling Change Requests for changes and enhancements on the system
Assisting Branch Managers with Postbank related system problems
Logging of calls on problems, requests and enhancements on all Postbank systems
Handling of email enquiries regarding system changes, system requests between management and users
Assisting, resolving and escalating queries received from helpdesk, Call Centre, etc. regarding system related errors
Overseen the reporting errors to programmers by means of the Remedy System
 
 
Qualifications:
Relevant IT Diploma on NQF Level 6 (360 Credits)
Appropriate B-Degree will be an advantage
Financial/IT certificate will be an advantage
Computer Literacy: MS Office & Postbank Systems
 
Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in a IT or Postbank production environment
Experience in project management, financial management and supervisory
 
Knowledge:
Should have proper experience/knowledge of Postbank Systems, computer software, hardware and equipment.
Knowledge of: Post Office Remedy System, WRE, Flex-cube UBS , ACB processing, E-filing, SAP will be an advantage
