Job Title - Manager: Credit Analytics (L5/6) - 1 POSITION
(Position based in Pretoria, NPC)
Reports to - Senior Manager: Lending
Summation
Responsible for development, implementation and management of the Lending Department Analytics and Reporting capacity – policy, process, people and systems. Responsible for the overall direction and administration of programs, products and services provided by the Lending Analytics Unit.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible to develop, implement and maintain the Lending Analytics business plan, operational models and systems for high quality analytical models to understand key trends, patterns and behaviours with the Postbank customer base
• Responsible to develop appropriate customer segment perspectives, e.g. Marketing, Sales and Credit, for business performance measures for Lending as a whole. Develop and implement trigger models to drive customer engagement across the value and volume business, supporting the customer journey and key customer moments
• Provide significant oversight and leadership directed towards Lending analytics reporting on portfolio performance, risk analysis and strategic business development to secure maximum operations and reporting quality, generating appropriate business growth insights
• Develop analytical capacity to use cluster analysis and other segmentation techniques to develop, maintain, monitor and improve the customer focussed segmentation models that are utilised in Lending Department for the purpose of understanding customers, delivering appropriate value propositions and the delivery of maximum value for the customers
• Manage stakeholder relations across the Banking environment through communication and promotional strategies aimed at establishing collaborative partnerships and synergies with stakeholders to develop tools and mechanisms to define benchmarks, inform approaches and address common needs
• Ensure that all Audit/ Board Committee/ Regulatory bodies’ Reporting and Analytics findings are resolved speedily to ensure effective governance and sound management of the Lending Business
• To manage the Analytics Reporting staff, including their performance objectives/ targets, identifying training needs and motivating for relevant training, and providing mentorship where appropriate
• Ensure the efficient management, control, compliance and reporting of the function / resources in accordance with the stipulations of the Postbank Board, Board Sub-Committees, National Credit Regulator, company specific policies and regulations, national legislation, and Operational and Credit risk management principles, etc.
Minimum Requirements
• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics, Engineering or Actuarial Science (NQF7). A postgraduate qualification (NQF8) will be an advantage.
• At least 5 - 8 years Advanced Analytics/Statistician technical experience, with both hands-on and lead experience in providing advanced analytics solutions (within the financial/ services/ retail sector but preferably with low to middle-income market experience)

Knowledge and understanding of:
FAIS Act, POPI Act, A thorough working knowledge in delivery technologies and data access, Familiarity with metadata, Data organization, data quality assessment and data profiling, Strategies, procedures, related legal issues and industry best practice, Working knowledge of the legal actions associated to this environment; Proficiency in latest Advanced Analytics Software Applications, Some programming experience, preferably SQL Above-average knowledge of SAS Analytics Pro and SAS Enterprise Mine, Good knowledge of advanced analytics and proven ability to work with statistical programming tools.
