Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (L5/6) - 1 Position
(Position based in Bloemfontein)
Reports to: Head: Talent Management
 
SUMMATION
This generalist Human Resources position is responsible for the management and implementation of HR strategies, policy and process in Bloemfontein. This include amongst others, specifically the management of employee relations, recruitment and learning and development. A significant responsibility includes the management of ongoing change and transformation activities and the development and implementation of initiatives that are relevant to the affected workforce.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with Business, to ensure execution of Business Strategic initiatives by alignment of HR strategic initiatives, and efficient delivery of products and services.
• Implement the Employee Relations strategies, policies, procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and align to business objectives. Facilitate regular meetings between management and organised labour as well as maintaining a good working relationship with unions and union officials.
• Facilitate business and people transformation and implement continuous improvement by acting as a change agent. Proactively introduce appropriate initiatives in response to solving business challenges. Advise and coach key stakeholders on organisational; culture, climate and employee relations.
• In line with the annual workforce planning approach, diagnose current and future capability needs in Bloemfontein based on the organizations strategic direction and plan. Drive Recruitment and Selection Process in line with the required benchmarks and best practice policies and procedures. Manage and facilitate on boarding processes for new appointees. Manage and facilitate succession planning in partnership with Business Leaders
• Manage, implement and monitor the performance management policy and process in the Bloemfontein Office; Identify trends and patterns of non-performance and recommend appropriate action.
• Implement and manage talent through policy and Talent Management Committees and ensure an available successor to critical positions. Facilitate the creation of development plans for each employee aligned to business strategic objectives and provide input to the compilation of the annual workforce skills plan. Drive the implementation of the training plan through the facilitation of training interventions.
• Manage all HR related administration/ payroll requirements and ensure good HR governance. Report on all human resources related matters at Management Committee meetings.
• Ensure the efficient management, control and reporting of the function / resources in accordance with the stipulations of the PFMA, BCEA, Banks Act, Postbank Act, fraud prevention and risk management principles, legislation, Corporate governance, Delegation of Powers, company policies, processes, regulations, etc.

Minimum Requirements
 
Qualifications, Experience and knowledge
• Graduate degree in human resources (NQF7). A related Post Graduate degree (NQF8) will be an advantage
• Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in generalist Human Resource management in a similar role
• Excellent understanding of employee / union relations
• Change management
• Business understanding (Banking environment)
