Job Title: Analyst Programmer (C5) – 2 Positions
(Position based in Pretoria, NPC)
Reports to: Manager Applications
Summation
The person in this position will be responsible for system-analyst techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software or systems functional specifications and programming thereof.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, document, analyse, create, test and modify computer systems, programs and integrations.
• Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analysing requirements;
• Apply system analyst techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine software or systems functional specifications
• Preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
• Program the computer by encoding project requirements in computer language; entering coded information into the computer.
• Analyse user information system needs
• Document the functionality and requirements.
• Ability to recognize and resolve system related problems;
• Work independently and make necessary decisions throughout the systems process within department guidelines.
• Design complex reports for the business units systems to rapidly develop and roll-out customer facing solutions
Key skills required:
• SQL and Relational databases, SQL Server Report Server
• Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher, Oracle database, OTD
• Exposure to Core Banking and Payments platforms
All the above roles interface with:
• Application Testers, Change Management, Release Management, Problem Management, Incident Management, IT Production Services, Project teams
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
• Information Technology diploma or higher / Related qualification
• MCSD certificate (Advantage)
Experience:
• 1 -3 years’ experience in Software development using Microsoft Visual Studio, Java, C/C++, and Oracle 11G, SQL databases
• 1- 3 years’ experience in performing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line systems support
• 1-3 Experience in working on Operating Systems: Linux, AIX, Windows
Knowledge and understanding of:
• Demonstrated knowledge, experience and expertise in the following:
- NPS
- Flexcube, UBS, Postilion, PWH, EFT platforms
- Software development
- SDLC life cycle
• Proven experience on Weblogic Administration and ODA
• A strong understanding of systems, systems architectures, as well as relational databases
• Able to work in agile development team
