Vetting Investigations Officer 
Remuneration Level: R442 014 per annum
LOCATION: Crime Intelligence (Free State)

Generic Requirements:
 Applicants must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post;
 Be in possession of a Senior Certificate (Grade 12);
 Be a SA citizen;
 Be fluent in at least two official languages, of which one must be English;
 Be able to work under pressure as well as extended hours;
 Must have no previous convictions or cases pending;
 Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include security screening and fingerprint verification;
The following additional post requirements will apply:
 Competency in the post-specific functions of the post;
 An applicable NQF 6 qualification and 3 years relevant experience in the field of the post, of which 2 years should be on supervisory level.
 Fluency in at least two official languages, of which one must be English;
 Be in possession of least a valid light motor vehicle driver’s licence;
 Relevant courses in the field of the post may be an advantage.

 
Core Functions:
 To conduct effective and efficient vetting investigations in respect of any SAPS employee
 To co-ordinate the E-Vetting and manual fieldwork Investigations;
 Co-ordination of investigated files to investigators to ensure completeness and quality control;
 Implementation of available and relevant policies/prescripts in relation to Vetting;
 Assist with management of all Human, Physical and financial Resources allocated to the environment;
 Facilitation of Basic Vetting Courses / Workshops
 
GENERAL
