Description

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

To provide recruitment and selection services within their respective area to ensure that the organisation attracts and recruits the most suitable applicants for identified vacancies. To ensure efficient and professional recruitment processes are followed in accordance with SANRAL’s recruitment policy and procedures as well as all prevailing recruitment regulatory framework.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

·       NQF Level 7 qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent

·       5 years minimum of experience in recruitment and HR Generalist. Experience in mass recruitment projects is essential

·       Candidate must have worked with SAP SuccessFactors or equivalent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Recruitment

·       Partnering with HR Team Leader to determine staffing needs

·       Manage day-to-day recruitment processes ensuring that recruitment needs meet business objectives

·       Ensure standardised recruitment processes and compliance to HR policy and associated recruitment regulatory framework, codes of good practice in recruitment, talent pipelining and workforce planning, across all SANRAL offices

·       Ensure that recruitment procedure and selection documentation, including online process flow, is completed from commencement of recruitment process to completion by relevant parties, leveraging the HR Professionals (HRP) where required

·       Serve as primary liaison with recruitment providers

·       Manage entire recruitment process for respective area

·       Provide input for offer and agreement of employment in consultation with HRP and/or HR Team Leader

·       Submit role specifications on SANRAL’s applicable external and internal job advertising platforms

·       Draft regret letters and send them to unsuccessful candidates

·       Ensure all HR records in relation to recruitment processes are maintained

·       Network and understand industry relevant talent forums and communities and actively engage these communities to ensure active pipelining

·       Hoist and support proactive Talent engagement sessions and forums

 

Recruitment Reporting

·       Provide staff analytics and forecasts in terms of recruitment needs for respective area versus appointments made and report on findings

·       Present key HR metrics and initiatives to the HR Team at staff meetings

·       Strive for continuous improvement of HR processes

·       Provide input into workforce plan quarterly to support the business objectives

·       Provide input for the quarterly reporting and update of the workforce plan including budget information (actuals vs forecast), track progress in attaining employment equity plan through recruitment exercise

·       Provide analysis on third party spend versus success of placements

·       Tactical project management of talent management service providers

 

Recruitment Administration

·       Upload/advertise vacancies on relevant portals

·       Screen CVs according to job requirements

·       Arranging interviews with panel members and candidates

·       Send out interview confirmation correspondence

·       Booking boardrooms for interviews

·       Preparation and printing of interview packs

·       Liaison with candidates

·       Email correspondence

·       Booking appointments for candidate fingerprint verification

·       Oversee all necessary employment screening within respective area in line with SANRAL’s recruitment policy

·       Carefully scrutinise feedback received from external screening company to ensure that employment reference outcome and other background screening feedback is satisfactory prior to extending interview invitations to shortlisted candidates

·       Notify HR Team Leader of any issues of concern arising from background screening outcome

·       Manage job seekers response handling for respective area

SECURITY TEAM LEADER

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The incumbent will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily security operations across SANRAL Central Operation Centre facilities, ensuring the protection of people, assets, and infrastructure. The role involves leading a multi-shift security team, monitoring access control, alarm systems, and incident response activities, and ensuring compliance with PSIRA regulations, OHSACT requirements, and internal SANRAL policies. The incumbent will also support contractor management, participate in internal and external audits, and provide operational guidance to maintain a safe, secure, and continuous operational environment.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

·       A senior Certificate (Grade 12 Matric)

·       A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in security operation.

·       At minimum of three (3) years supervisory or team leader experience.

·       Certification:

o   PSIRA Grade A or B certification

o   Power Generator/monitoring related certificate

 

This role requires occasional after-hours or weekend work during security incidents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Security Operations Supervision

·       Supervise daily physical security operations across SANRAL Central Operation Centre facilities.

·       Manage the security team, assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing coaching or corrective guidance as needed.

·       Ensure all alarm activations are investigated and resolved in line with defined protocols, including Burglary, Panic/Duress, No Communication / Fail-to-Contact signals, Unidentified alarm signals, Tamper alerts.

·       Ensure all incidents are logged accurately in the designated incident management system.

·       Monitor access control processes to prevent unauthorized entry.

·       Conduct routine security inspections and ensure compliance with security standards.

 

Contractor and Service Provider Monitoring

·       Supervise outsourced security service providers.

·       Monitor performance against SLAs and contractual KPIs.

·       Address service delivery gaps and escalate recurring non-performance.

·       Ensure contractors comply with SANRAL safety and security procedures.

 

Operational Compliance and Risk Management

·       Ensure adherence to PSIRA regulations, OHS ACT requirements, and internal security policies.

·       Support security risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.

·       Escalate serious incidents, breaches, or safety risks to management.

·       Monitor compliance with access control and key management procedures.

 

Reporting and Administration

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Supervisor: Facilities & Maintenance is responsible for supervising the day-to-day delivery of facilities maintenance and support services to ensure that SANRAL’s buildings, infrastructure, and auxiliary facilities remain functional, safe, and operational. The role supports the implementation of planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities and monitors outsourced service providers to ensure compliance with agreed service standards and contractual requirements.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

·       An NQF level 6 in Facilities Management, Building Management, or related field.

·       A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in facilities maintenance or facilities operations.

·       A minimum of three (3) years’ supervisory experience in a facilities or technical environment.

·       Certification:

o   Electric Trade Test (Red Sea) certification

 

This role requires occasional extended hours during urgent breakdowns or critical repairs.

 

ADVANTAGEOUS:

·       Project management related certificate.

·       Experience supporting building maintenance, mechanical/electrical services, and minor renovation projects.

·       Ensure maintenance issues are logged, tracked, and resolved within required timeframes/SLA.

·       Support onboarding of new facilities staff, including training on maintenance systems, processes, and safety protocols.

 

Contractor and Service Provider Monitoring

·       Supervise outsourced service providers delivering integrated facilities services.

·       Monitor contractor performance against agreed KPIs and service level requirements.

·       Report service delivery gaps and support implementation of corrective action.

·       Ensure contractors are onboarded to SANRAL systems and processes for service request management.

·       Facilitate integration of contractors reporting data into centralized facility management systems.

·       Collaborate with the team to coordinate contractor tasks and resources efficiently.

·       Coordinate team and contractor resources to ensure continuous 24/7 service coverage.

 

Operational Compliance, Safety and Audit Support

·       Ensure facilities and activities comply with occupational health and safety requirements and SANRAL procedures.

·       Support inspections, site audits, and basic compliance monitoring.

·       Escalate safety risks, incidents, or contractor non-compliance to management.

·       Participate in internal and external audits, providing evidence, reports, and corrective action support.

·       Integrate compliance monitoring tools and systems to improve visibility and reporting of safety metrics.

·       Lead the team in ensuring adherence to safety protocols during all operational hours.

 

Facilities Projects and Improvement Support

·       Assist with renovation, construction, and facilities improvement projects.

·       Support implementation of efficiency initiatives to improve service delivery and asset sustainability.

·       Participate in root cause investigations of recurring maintenance failures

·       Support integration of project management and facilities systems to track improvements and project outcomes.

·       Oversee team participation in projects, ensuring tasks are allocated and completed even during off-peak hours.

 

Reporting and Administration

·       Compile routine operational reports on maintenance progress, contractor performance, and facilities issues.

·       Maintain accurate records, service documentation, and compliance checklists.

·       Provide input into monthly facilities status updates for management review.

·       Ensure reporting systems are fully integrated with facilities and contractor management tools for accurate dashboards.

·       Support on boarding of new users to reporting systems and ensure proper system usage and access controls.
