POSITION OBJECTIVE
The incumbent will be responsible for the accurate and timeous processing of accounts receivable and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures and reporting thereof.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • A National Diploma in accounting or any other related qualification.
  • At least three years of accounts receivable experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that all CTROM and non-CTROM invoices are created.
  • Manage and control the customer database in SAP (new customer accounts/registration, blocking and unblocking of postings, customer info updates etc.).
  • Ensure that the monthly financial report for Toll Agent payments, Transaction Clearing House (TCH), and VPC is received, processed, and reconciled to the general ledger.
  • Review customer age analysis and other revenue reports and resolve long outstanding debtors by applying the debt management policy.
  • Ensure that all bad debts are identified and written off in accordance with the existing bad debts policy.
  • Update all procedures relating to the customer processes in the finance manual.
  • Ensure that issues attributing to account delinquency are identified and discussed with management.
  • Ensure completeness of Invoices issued in relation to agreements.
  • Clearing of the debtors against payment timeously.
  • Process GORT journals from ETC.
  • Prepare the audit file for the auditors and the reporting team with information for AFS.
  • Post year-end journals.
  • Prepare property management journals and agree to supporting documentation.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for all accounts receivables accounts (individual customers and General Ledger),
  • Assist with internal and external audit queries.

Identification of Projects and Solutions
  • Support with geotechnical assessments required for route alignment determination during strategic road network planning

  • Prepare detailed project scope for assigned projects, including the requirements and work to be performed, in order to meet the project objectives

Project Management (Problem Solving-Earth Sciences)
  • Responsible for the overall project management and coordination for assigned projects
  • Ensure effective contract management and oversight, and that activities are executed in accordance with contractual terms and conditions
  • Track progress of activities against the project management plan and proactively identify and mitigate issues
  • Identify and manage changes in scope timeously

Technical advisory and support
  • Provide geotechnical design support on other projects in the region. Evaluate design reports and to ensure technical accuracy and that appropriate geotechnical design standards are met
  • Oversee geotechnical site investigations to obtain data on general surface and subsurface conditions and materials
  • Oversee geotechnical analyses, modelling and design in areas such as slope stability, pavements, foundations, bearing capacity, retaining walls and excavation design. Review reports and develop recommendations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and visual inspections during construction to ensure works are executed according to the approved design and specifications
  • Support with slope failure and high-risk site investigations

Project identification and planning 
•    Participates in the identification and prioritizing of projects using data from relevant management system (e.g., PMS) and personal knowledge.

Material Quality assurance management
•    Attend procedural meetings on site to guide service providers on SANRAL’s quality assurance procedures, how to submit reports, the frequency etc.
•    Assess acceptability of materials sources e.g. products of borrow pits and quarries.
•    Perform quality control inspections of construction completed
•    Conduct site lab audits from a management and technical perspective, to check for example whether the quality management system is in order, paperwork is complete and whether tests are performed according to test method
•    Review and scrutinise monthly materials and lab reports from. Identify issues and provide recommendations.
•    Evaluate material mix designs (Asphalt, Seal, Concrete for structures etc.)
•    Attend construction of trial sections to be tested
•    Verify that all applicable tests per lot are captured and processed using the SARDS QA module. Ensure identified duplicate samples are submitted for independent verification.
•    Attend taking-over certificate (TOC) inspections to check whether construction was completed according to standards

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Programme Manager: N2 Wild Coast Road interacts with may levels of executives and staff and is expected to oversee the Government’s SIP 3 program for the N2 Wild Coast Road; coordinates and manages the various phases in conjunction with the project managers from design to project close out to ensure the achievement of overall programme objectives.  The successful candidate will be expected to lead, guide, and assist the project managers and multi-disciplinary project teams to manage the project deliverables, including financial, technical, and socio-economic aspects.  They will be expected to ensure project management in respect of specific norms and standards, according to relevant legislation, the efficient management of resources, time and budgets associated with projects under the N2 Wild Coast Road.  They will have to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with external stakeholders and to ensure required business results.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a B Eng. or B Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience in planning, design, program, project and contract management of major road and bridge works.
  • Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer
  • Registration with SACPCMP as either Pr CPM or Pr CM will be an added advantage.

Position Objectives
The Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator operates within the Corporate Affairs Cluster of SANRAL; in the Stakeholder Relations Management Unit, with a key focus on supporting the Region’s road infrastructure delivery programme. The role has a primary function of developing and implementing integrated internal and external engagement programmes, in accordance with the Agency’s priorities to effectively position and manage the Regional outreach and Stakeholder Relations function.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • A NQF 7 qualification in stakeholder relations or an associated discipline. 
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in a stakeholder engagement role.
  • A minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience providing stakeholder relations advice and services.
  • Experience in leading project and/or specialist function activities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to write collateral tailored for different audiences.
  • Proven ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately.
  • An understanding of the cultural dynamics of relevant Province and the protocols associated with traditional leadership in the area.
  • Relevant experience gained in major organization’s, government, projects and or consultancy.
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with conflict or avoiding potential conflicts.
  • Demonstrate high quality discipline to taking organisation’s instructions, and adherence to set rules and internal protocols.
  • Skills and Competencies of the ideal candidate
  • People skills required to lead and inspire people to achieve the organisation’s stated goals.
  • The Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator needs to work effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment within the project teams and within the communications team by constructively participating in the way the team works together, to produce high quality communications consistent with enhancing SANRAL’s reputation in the community.
  • Ability to see the “big picture” beyond organisational boundaries.
  • Demonstration of political awareness and understanding government policies and programmes, especially in the transport sector.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
