APPOINTMENT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To provide consultation services for the purpose of the organisational realignment (restructuring) and promote sound employment practices with adherence to labour legislation.
ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• An NQF level 6 qualification in Labour Relations/Human Resources Management or related qualification.
• Five years solid working experience in Employee Relations / Labour Relation Management.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• The incumbent should be willing to travel, work under pressure and be deadline driven.
ADVANTAGEOUS:
• Experience in chairing (employee forums or hearings) or representing a party at arbitration level or coordinating workplace forums and working with trade unions would be an added advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the implementation of the operating model review transition approved plan.
• Plan, develop and finalize consultation schedules in consultation with the Employee Relations Lead.
• Coordinate consultation meetings with employees and the consulting panel.
• Represent employee relations as a panel member during the consultation process and lead the process as and when required.
• Render advisory services to the consulting panel and guide the consultation process.
• Ensure that employees are afforded their legal rights within the consultation process.
• Ensure proper electronic recording of all the consultation meetings and minute taking of the proceedings.
• Prepare, update and present project status report to the Employee Relations Lead.
• Facilitate and mediate disputes arising from the consultation process.
• Represent the Agency in any dispute resolution structure up to the CCMA level.
• Perform ad hoc Employee Relations duties as and when required.
