SPECIALIST MANAGER: DEMAND, STRATEGIC SOURCING AND SPECIAL PROJECTS
The Organisation requires the services of a Specialist Manager: Demand Strategic Sourcing, and Special Projects, in the Supply Chain Management Department. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.

SPECIALIST MANAGER: DEMAND, STRATEGIC SOURCING AND SPECIAL PROJECTS
The Organisation requires the services of a Specialist Manager: Demand Strategic Sourcing, and Special Projects, in the Supply Chain Management Department. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.

Requirements
- Be in possession of a degree or B-Tech in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or B-Comm law/ Economics, Accounting or Law degree.
- Should have 5 years of work experience in an SCM environment with 3 years at the strategic sourcing level.
- Knowledge of Public Sector Supply Chain Management Regulatory Framework (Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, PFMA, PPPFA, related regulations and policy directives)
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing principles.
- Knowledge of research methodologies.
- Knowledge of the Bid Committee system.
- National Treasury (prescribes) reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of the Public Sector Strategic Process.
- Knowledge of stakeholder management.
- Conflict management skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Time management skills ( Ability to work under pressure)

Responsibilities
- Drive the timely delivery of the annual procurement plan.
- Conduct spend analysis, consolidate, and categorize the organizational requirements to save costs eliminate mavericks spending, and gain efficiencies.
- Leverage strategic supplier relationships for better economies of scale, increased quality, and standardization of common commodities and prices across SANParks.
- Perform market and industry analysis to inform sourcing strategies and responsive bid specifications. Compile reports on the outcome of the annual procurement plan.
- Coordinate and implement SCM special projects aimed at continuous business improvement.
- Participate in the bid specification committee meetings.
- Initiate and negotiate transversal contracts.
- Manage and oversee human resources and other related administrative functions.
- Ensure effective financial management of the Sub-unit.
- Establish, implement, and maintain efficient and effective stakeholder relations.
- Identify, develop, and manage the operational risks for Sub-unit.
- Ensure audit readiness, develop an audit action plan and continuously update internal controls to avoid repeat findings.
- Ensure the development of quality, effective, and user-friendly reporting to Managing Executives and EXCO.
