FREELANCE FIELD GUIDE
Park: Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
Description:
Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position. The position is for a Freelance Guide that will be stationed in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a field guide in a dangerous game area.
- DEAT Registration ( Northern Cape, Kalahari Transfrontier Park and Surrounding areas)
- Valid EC (Code 10) Driver's License
- PDP (Valid Public Drivers Permit).
- Sound knowledge of fauna and flora.
- Bilingual ( English and Afrikaans)
- Firearm proficiency certificate.
- Valid First Aid certificate
- THETA TGSP 3/NQF Qualification
- Incumbents will be required to do a practical drive.
Responsibilities:
- Guide visitors on Interpretive Game Drives while conducting a guided nature experience.
- Marketing of activities at Twee Rivieren
- Assisting with 4x4 guiding when required
- To do relief duties when other Field Guides when on leave or on time off.
- Any other duties as per Head Guide.
- Remuneration will be per activity.

NIGHT AUDITOR (SKUKUZA SAFARI LODGE)
Park: Kruger National Park
Description:
SANParks requires the services of a Night Auditor at Skukuza Safari Lodge. This position is a fixed-term contract for six months.
Requirements:
- Three-year hotel management diploma or degree
- Three years' experience as a night auditor in a similar-sized hotel and conference centre (minimum 100 rooms)
- Experience at a senior level in other hotel departments especially front office, reception and food and beverage.
- Experience in using major hotel property management and point-of-sale systems.
- Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Opera System will be an added advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work overnight
- Ability to work under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
- Perform reception duties during the night shift, answer calls, make reservations, check-out guests, issue key cards, and resolve guest queries.
- Close off the property management system for the day, post room and other charges, run end-of-day processes and perform all related accounting tasks according to standard operating procedures in place.
- Prepare front office and reception for the early shift, arrivals and departures, reservations, breakfast lists and other functions per standards operating procedures in place.
- Print management reports, check for correctness and distribute.
- Manage early departures according to camp and gate opening times.

PROTECTION SERVICES MANAGER
Park: Kruger National Park
Description:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of Manager: Protection Services in Kruger National Park reporting to the Manager: Area Integrity Management.
Paterson Grading: D1
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Security Management or Military or Police Services or equivalent qualifications
- Degree Criminal justice will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Risk Management
- Sound interpersonal skills
- Environmental Management Inspectorate (EMI) competency
- Firearm competency
- Project Management skills
- PSIRA Accreditation
- Valid driver's license (Code 08)
- Report writing skills
- Basic Human Resource and Finance Management skills
- Basic Computer literacy
- Working knowledge of relevant Legislations relating to safety and security
Responsibilities:
- To manage the overall physical security operations of the Kruger National Park (KNP)
- To manage the traffic operations of the KNP
- To manage risks identified within safety and security
- To ensure long term sustainability of the Protection Services unit
- To ensure good corporate governance
- To lead and develop the human capital of the unit
- To build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- To prepare the budget and manage the finances of the unit
- To assist in the development of safety and security-related policies and procedures
