- A National Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, – Education, – Community Development, – Nature Conservation, or equivalent NQF 6 or 7 qualifications in these fields.
- 2 years’ proven experience in community facilitation, engagement, or development, preferably in a conservation, educational or environmental context.
- A valid driver’s licence (CODE EB/8).
- Code 10 with PDP can be an added advantage.
- Provide proof of proficiency in both Afrikaans and English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, park staff, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in effective general – and financial management and administration including planning, budgeting, and report writing.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the SET Regional Manager
- Facilitating the establishment of environmental awareness programmes in neighbouring community schools and with visiting interest groups inside the park.
- Promotion of SANParks’ image to the parks internal and external clients.
- Liaising with community- based interest groups and NGOs.
- Building and maintaining a sound relationship between the park and its neighbouring communities
- Effectively implement and manage community based socio-economic development projects
- Facilitate the cultural and indigenous knowledge programmes in the business unit
- Co-ordinate and support Corporate Social Investment – and Wildlife Economy Projects
- Implementing the Socio- Economic Transformation strategy

CURATOR

Responsibilities
- Oversee the management, preservation, conservation, safety, acquisition, disposal, interpretation and presentation of the Mapungubwe Interpretation Centre collection in line with the local and internationally accepted museum standards.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and plans for conservation of museum collections, with input from relevant other officials.
- To collect objects associated with the history of the park in order to ensure a wide-ranging, in-depth cultural heritage collection.
- To maintain an up-to-date inventory and proper storage of the park’s heritage objects
- To research and document new entries to the collection in order to enhance their heritage and cultural significance. Ensure proper and safe handling as well as storage and ownership of artefacts
- To facilitate and oversee the design, preparation, and installation of exhibitions related to cultural heritage ·
- To facilitate research on and access to heritage collections
- To manage relationships with third-party institutions that curate heritage objects that originate from Mapungubwe National Park.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- To manage and coordinate all fixed wing aircraft and fixed wing pilots for all SANParks
- To perform fixed wing pilot duties for SANParks
- Operational pre-planning and implementation to ensure availability of SANParks fixed wing aircraft with minimal downtime and effect to flight operations
- Manage and oversight of fixed wing aircraft maintenance
- Management of fixed wing aircraft after their return from a flight to ensure correct turnaround and operational standby
- Management of fixed wing / ultralight pilots within SANParks Airwing flight operations
Salary R316, 318.83 – R487, 419.13 CTC

The Organisation requires the services of Asset Controller in the Finance Division. This position will be based Table Mountain National Park, reporting to the Regional Finance Manager: Cape Region

Requirements
• Be in possession of National Diploma in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
• Have 2 – 3 years’ experience in Assets Management financial administration and general ledger reconciliation.
• Have 2-3 years’ experience working with audits (internal and or external)
• Be in possession of a valid driver’s license
• A working knowledge of PFMA.
• A working knowledge of National Treasury regulations.
• A working knowledge of procurement and asset management systems or practices.
• Knowledge of General Ledger reconciliation.
• A working knowledge of the application of policies and procedure.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate the annual physical verification of assets for the all the parks in the region
• Implement corporate policy and procedure on fixed assets.
• Maintain an updated fixed asset register.
• Coordinate and manage the movement of assets (acquisition, transfers, disposal, etc.).
• Coordinate and facilitate asset auctions within parks.
• Monitor and report on the Capex budget for the region.
• Implement risk management practices for asset management.
• Update the general ledger accounts for financial statements.
• Coordinate the capitalisation of asset related capital projects.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor
