2 SWIMMING POOL MONITORS
Park: Kruger National Park
Description:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a Swimming pool monitors at Kruger National Park. Successful candidates will be provided with accommodation in the park. The position will be reporting to the Wellness section and the successful candidate's duties will include the following.
Requirements:
- Grade 12.
- Must be a strong swimmer (practical test will be conducted)
- Matric or Grade 12 certificate.
- First aid qualification will be an added advantage.
- Language proficiency in English and one other local language.
- Good interpersonal and record keeping skills.
- Clean criminal record.
- Passing of fitness trial which includes:
- Appropriate swimming test
- Successful candidates are then granted an interview.
- Successful candidates will have to undergo a medical fitness examination through a Medical Practitioner.
Responsibilities:
- Search and rescue operations.
- Life-saving skills and First-Aid.
- Assist with the general maintenance of the pool.
- Ensuring appropriate behavior around the pool
- Monitoring usage of the facility
- Litter management.
- To report maintenance at the gymnasium (broken cupboards or windows)
- To conduct daily inspections including orientation, and gym member assessments
- To ensure that exercise program prescription is carried out.
- To ensure safety standards inside and outside.
