Description:
A challenging vacancy exists for a dynamic and highly motivated Regional Technical Manager within Technical Services Department in Kruger National Park (KNP).
Paterson Grading: D2
NB. The position will be filled in line with the Employment Equity Targets for KNP.
Requirements:

- BSc or BTech degree Construction/Building Management
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in Building Construction, maintenance and renovation work programs
- Registration with ECSA and/or SACPCMP as an advantage
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word
- Experience in Project Management and Quality Management processes
- Experience in managing a team of technical workers
- Working knowledge of Protected Areas Act, National Building Regulations, CIDB Regulations and SANS Codes
- Advanced knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
- Sound financial background
- Good communication, liaisons and negotiation skills
- Proven track record
- A Valid code EB Driver's licence
- Registration with the SACPCMP as Construction manager will be advantageous
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all civil and building infrastructure is upgraded, renovated and maintained in accordance with National Standards and applicable legislation.
- Plan, facilitate and implement, predetermined maintenance renovations and replacement programs.
- To manage construction and maintenance contracts as well as Contract Management.
- To develop and implement a quality assurance programme for civil and building infrastructure in terms of pre-determined standards.
- To evaluate all existing buildings and services in order to compile annual renovation and replacement programs.
- To compile the annual budgets and advise the Hospitality Services Managers and Section Rangers on technical related aspects to be included in their operational budgets.
- To Provide Technical support and advice to rest camp staff and Hospitality Services Managers.
- To recommend training courses for staff to ensure they are adequately equipped to handle job requirements.
- To conduct bi-annual safety and risk assessments
Salary: R 440 424 - R 714 138
