This position is a fixed-term contract up to 31 March 2024. Remuneration is on a C2 Paterson salary scale. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing the KNP Monitoring Project in the Kruger National Park.

- Diploma in Nature Conservation or Environmental Management
- A minimum of one year of Project Management experience
- Computer literacy in MS office packages
- Code 08 driver's license
- Experience in health and safety management and compliance
- Experience in GIS and the use of GPS
Responsibilities:
- Assist with strategic and operational planning of the project
- Coordination and mentoring of EPWP contractors
- Ensure the management of quality, production and monitoring of task-based operations linked to the project
- Ensure compliance to program standards/norms and Health and Safety requirements
- Assist with the financial management of the project
- Ensure database information for the project is maintained and updated
- Assist with administrative management
- Asset, stock and stores management
- Assist and coordinate training and social interventions
- Assist with mapping and data recording for the project linked to activities
- Report on project progress
