Regional Quantity Surveyor
Park: Kruger National Park
 
 
Description:
Applications are invited from suitable and qualified candidates for the position of Quantity Surveyor in Kruger National Park. Reporting to the Senior Manager: Civil & Building, the key performance areas of the successful incumbents would include but not limited to the following: The position is a fixed Term Contract – 12 months.
 
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
  • 4 to 6 years experience in Building Construction and renovation works Quantity Surveying 
  • Knowledge of JBCC and GCC is essential
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft project, Excel and Word.
  • Experience in infrastructure procurement is essential
  • Experience in Contract Management and Quality Management processes is an added advantage
  • Sound financial background
  • Proven track record
  • A Valid code EB Drivers licence 
 

Responsibilities:
  • To compile cost estimates and Bills of Quantities for renovations, upgrades and new infrastructure
  • To verify claims and prepare payment certificates as per sound quantity surveying principles
  • To procure contractors as per approved procurement procedure in terms of the applicable legislation and Supply Chain Management policies
  • To compile, manage and control budgets for renovations, upgrades and new infrastructure
  • To ensure a sound Quantity surveying function for the upgrading , additions and renovations to regional civil and building infrastructure accordance with SANS Standards and applicable legislation and in terms of relevant contract documentation 
  • To plan, facilitate and implement all cost management and quantity surveying  functions of upgrading and replacement programs
