This exciting career opportunity is available to an appropriately qualified and experienced candidate to develop, implement and maintain effective, efficient and transparent SCM systems within SANBI, in conformity with the requirements of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 as amended with respect to Procurement from R500 000 and above, and Contract Management.
The successful candidate must have the following minimum requirements: a formal three-year Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management/Public Management/Logistics/Finance/Purchasing Management (Legal qualification will be an added advantage), plus at least 5 - 10 years’ professional experience in the Supply Chain Management field, of which (3) three years must be at middle management level. Knowledge of the Supply Chain Management framework, the Public Finance Management Act & Treasury Regulations is essential.
The candidate must be proficient in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) as well as have a valid Code B drivers’ license with (1) one year’s practical driving experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Management of procurement plan.
- Manage the implementation of SCM policies and delegations.
- Management and facilitation of bids and three bid committees.
- Contract administration.
- Management of contract performance.
- Supervise employees to ensure sound financial, tenders, contracts and travel management.
SANBI offers an all-inclusive remuneration package of R 733 257 per annum.
