PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To develop and execute marketing activities that increase brand identity and brand awareness of SAHRA.
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Implement the Marketing and Brand Strategy:

  • Assist in planning strategies and execute marketing designs and activities to establish and maintain SAHRAs' brand presence in the heritage sector.
  • To launch and oversee advertising and media planning.
  • Assist with media liaison when required.
  • Assist with the design, development, and production of all SAHRA corporate materials.
  • Must have strong graphic design skills.
  • Implement SAHRA's Corporate Identity Manual.
  • Represent SAHRA on various national platforms.
  • Travel around the country as a SAHRA communications officials.
Design, Manage and Update Website and Social Media Content:
  • Act as SAHRA's online liaison across the social media platforms.
  • Create content for newsfeeds and spark discussions on various social networking sites.
  • Respond to queries on social media.
  • Maintain and update information on the organisation's website.
  • Design graphics for all digital campaigns.
  • Design new website landing pages for website when required.
  • Continually develop and update website.
  • Ensure security updates are aligned to regulatory requirements.
Planning and Coordination of Exhibitions and Events:
  • Organise events for the organisation and write the targeted events plan.
  • Liaise with Supply chain to coordinate events and exhibitions.
  • Arrange meetings with relevant stakeholders to coordinate events.
  • Brief stakeholders on the particular event.
  • Arrange logistical arrangements with service providers.
  • Increase brand visibility at events.
  • Oversee the smooth running of events.
  • Write detailed Event exit report on all events including the implementation, feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Research and Write Corporate Marketing Information:
  • Conduct research for articles.
  • Research trends in social media related to the heritage industry.
  • Write articles for SAHRA newsletter.
  • Write daily staff bulletins.
  • Write press releases.
  • Develop content for all social media campaigns.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Other skills include experience and practice in Managing Social media, Web design, Advanced Graphic Design packages, Events Management, and communications and content development.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
 
NUMERICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To ensure offices, parking area, common areas and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned on an ongoing basis and general hygiene is maintained.
Effectively action maintenance faults in and around the building.
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
KPA 1: Cleaning of offices, stores, common areas, ablution facilities, yard, and walkways. Sanitising and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces.
KPA 2: Effective building maintenance.
KPA 3: Assist with monitoring of office consumables and cleaning materials.
KPA 4: Provide switchboard relief.
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Cleaning of offices, stores, common areas, ablution facilities, yard, and walkways. Sanitising and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces:

  • Ensure that offices and all areas are properly cleaned and dusted daily, and spring cleaned monthly. Always follow the cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure that the corridors are polished three (3) times a week.
  • Ensure that common areas (reception, boardrooms, yard, ablution facilities, and kitchens) are properly cleaned daily.
  • Do frequent checks of the ablutions / bathrooms supplies and update the registers behind the doors.
  • Ensure sufficient stock of consumables in the ablution facilities and periodically check and refill accordingly.
  • Follow the cleaning checklists to ensure that all areas have been covered.
  • Sign the register to confirm the frequent checking of ablution facilities.
  • Ensure that all bins are emptied daily.
  • Clean SAHRA vehicles once a week and/or when necessary.
  • Frequently sanitising the biometrics (inside and outside all entrances)
  • Frequently sanitizing of all frequently touched surfaces e.g. printers/copiers, kitchen equipment, door handles, counters, sinks, and desktops.
  • Always ensure sufficient sanitizers in the mounted dispensers.
  • Prepare boardroom for meetings as booked by the staff. Track the meeting bookings and prepare venues accordingly.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the meeting venue before and after the meeting. Prepare the venue for the next meeting.
  • Assist with serving refreshments as and when requested.
Effective building maintenance:
  • Action all required maintenance in and around the building accordingly.
Assist with monitoring of office consumables and cleaning materials:
  • Record all items (consumables and refreshments) taken from the store on the prescribed form to assist with accurate stock control.
  • Assist with replenishment of consumables as and when necessary.
  • Pack consumables and cleaning materials neatly on the shelves and stores.
  • Safekeeping of the cleaning material and consumables.
Provide switchboard relief:
  • On needs basis, attending to visitors and callers and directing them to relevant staff members in the absence of the Receptionist.

  • Identify and draft policies and procedure for the management of the National Heritage Resources Library.
  • Identify and implement adequate archival best practice and standards towards. conservation of the resources in the Library.
  • Oversee implementation of policies.
  • Provide input into the development of a library collections development strategy.
  • Coordination of library collections strategy.
  • Act as secretariat of the SAHRA book review committee.
  • Coordination of compliance with GRAP103.
  • Schedule and perform annual stocktaking activities.
  • Regular monitoring of library database to ensure all materials are accessioned and catalogued.
  • Make recommendations to the Chief Librarian concerning the library database systems.
  • Undertake procurement of materials selected by SAHRA book review committee.
  • Ensure library materials are stored and managed according to policy and best practice.
  • Liaise with SAHRA IT to ensure library database is backed up at all times.
Promotion of the National Heritage Resources Library:
  • Undertake activities to promote the holdings and usage of the library.
  • Development and management of promotional materials.
  • Maintain partnerships with state/state supported bodies for expansion of the National Heritage Resources Library.
Financial Management:
  • Track book and subscriptions budget against expenditure.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
