Reporting line: Plantation Manager
Role Mandate
To provide human capital, procurement and finance administration support to the plantation/business unit.
Key Accountabilities
Capture Production Control Sheets (PCS) for all production employees
Ensure all documents related to appointments (on-boarding), terminations, etc. are submitted to Shared Service timeously for processing
Ensure employee personal files are created, updated and kept safe
Record injury on duty (IOD) information on employee personal files
Process monetary assistance requests
Submit monthly leave summary to Shared Services
Process standby and overtime allowances for employees
Coordinate training requests, schedules, training administration for submission
Compile monthly disciplinary statistics and submit to IR office
Receive garnishee orders and submit to Shared Services for further processing
Provide files and coordinate annual medical screening on site
Manage Driver Operator license, PrDP and SAFCOL competency and ensure renewal
Reconcile fuel reports on monthly basis
Update housing register and village registers on monthly basis
Download data loggers on daily basis, issue log tags and tally sheet
Order log tags for client deliveries and update data logger information on weekly basis
Perform daily processing of PSION files and tally sheets
Report daily volumes and send timber sales reports to clients
Perform month-end reconciliation on volumes and deliveries
Control issuing of PSION device, battery replacements tally sheets and log tags
Confirm APO compartments and clients’ specifications with Forester
Process all internal payments on a monthly basis
Reconcile payments and submit for approval
Prepare cheque requisitions for contractor payments
Process monthly invoices, distribute for payment and follow-up on all outstanding payments
Ensure all private tenants have completed and signed the required contracts
Administer petty cash and reconcile every month-end
Collect revenue from customers and ensure safekeeping
Perform banking of all monies received
Ensure safekeeping of receipt books for audit purposes
Process fuel received and issued on PSM and reconcile fuel reports monthly
Process all log sheets on JDE system, balance vehicle log sheets and report on PSM
Capture all hectare’s production into PSM and balance volumes on log prog system
Capture contractor work on PSM system and print reports on actual work done by contractors
Provide monthly planning report from PSM system
Provide timesheet and man-days report on monthly basis
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Certificate in Human Resource Management/ Financial/ Office Administration (NQF level 5)
National Diploma in Human Resource Management/ Financial/ Office Administration (NQF Level 6) will be added advantage
1 – 2 years’ experience in Human Resource/Financial/Procurement or General Administration

SUPERVISOR: SILVICULTURE
Status: Permanent
Location: Berlin Plantation
Grade: B4
Reporting line: Forester: Silviculture
Role Mandate
To be the first line supervisor to ensure that the team achieve its production targets in line with the Silviculture Best Operating Practices (BOP) standards.
Key Accountabilities
Execute Silviculture plan, organise and set out daily task within an operation
Control operations using Silviculture BOP
Ensure adherence to productivity standards
Prepare fire belts, burning of slash and fire fighting
Perform standby duties
Motivate and support the team to achieve set targets
Take corrective actions including disciplinary actions if there are deviations
Complete Production Control Sheet (PCS) and other related administration functions timeously
Transport team members to and from relevant operations and any other driving related activities
Ensure correct utilisation of tools, equipment, fuel and other resources utilised by team members
Report any fault-finding on vehicles and equipment
Ensure that the team adhere to all SHEQ regulations at all times
Ensure compliance of NOSA standards, FCS requirements and company policies within the team
Conduct job observation checklist on monthly basis
Conduct daily risk assessment and toolbox talk
Report any incident occurred infield
Provide relevant information during incident investigation
Perform any other silviculture related activity as instructed by the Forester
Minimum Requirements
Grade 10
Code C1 or higher driver's license with PDP
Supervisor certificate/ Winning Supervisor/National Certificate in forest
2-3 Years’ experience as a Supervisor in silviculture operations.
Basic safety, Environmental Awareness, Fire Suppression, SHE rep and First certificates will be advantageous

Role Mandate
To be the first line supervisor to ensure that the team achieve its production targets within the Best Operating Practices (BOP) standards.
Key Accountabilities
Plan, organize and set out the daily task within an operation
Control operations using harvesting BOP standards
Ensure adherence to productivity standards
Complete and submit accurate daily production sheets and other related administration functions timeously
Ensure minimal log rejects for optimal utilisation of the timber
Ensure adequate stacking and separation of client stacks
Prepare fire belts, burning and firefighting when required
Motivate and support the team to achieve set targets
Take corrective actions including disciplinary actions if there are deviations
Complete Production Control Sheet (PCS)and other related administration functions timeously
Transport team members to and from relevant operations and any other driving related activities
Ensure correct utilisation of tools, equipment, fuel and other resources utilised by team members
Ensure daily and weekly greasing of machines occurs
Report any fault-finding on machinery and equipment
Ensure enforcement of safety, conduct daily Risk assessment and toolbox talk.
Ensure all incidents are reported to management.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Code C1 or higher driver's license with PDP
Supervisor certificate/ Winning Supervisor/National Certificate in forest
2-3 Years’ experience as a Supervisor in harvesting operations.

PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR
Status: Permanent
Location: Nelspruit Office
Grade: B4
Reporting Line: Payroll Manager
Role Mandate
To perform payroll administration and capture payroll data, ensure data accuracy, processing the net salaries (ACB), processing payslips, and issuing IRP5’s.
Key Accountabilities
• Process applicable payroll payments in financial system
• Receive and sign-off payroll input data and process onto payroll system
• Pull applicable system reports to verify input data
• Update all leave data onto the payroll system
• Register new employees for tax numbers with SARS
• Calculate net salaries and retirement funds and submit to Treasury for projection purposes
• Check and adjust retirement annuities and pensions
• Conduct a staff complement reconciliation to ensure payroll legitimacy
• Update all leave data onto the payroll system
• Calculate net salaries and third-party payments and submit to Treasury for projection purposes
• File all payroll input documents
• Check payroll input onto system
• Check and verify duplicated ID’s and bank accounts
• Check negative salaries
• Perform general salary calculations in your applicable zone
• Close of period to prevent further entries
• Perform net salary run (ACB) for all employees
• Process payroll journals using financial system
• Prepare third party payments and process onto financial system (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
• Prepare approvals and releases for third party payments
• Conduct payroll system recon with the financial system.
• Prepare the necessary documents required by the statutory returns
• Address any queries that may arise from this process
• Address payroll queries as and when they arise
• Consult with external parties where applicable and obtain necessary input
• Follow up and ensures all stakeholders receive timeous and accurate feedback
• Acknowledge and respond to all payroll related queries
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12
• Payroll System Certification
• 3-year Diploma in Finance - will be an added advantage
• 1 – 3 year’s Payroll Administration experience
• Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage
