COMPLIANCE MANAGER 

Duration: 6-month contract 
Location: Midrand, Gauteng 
Remuneration: Market related 
The South African Board for Sheriffs (SABFS) is responsible for the maintenance of the esteem of, the enhancement of the status of, and the improvement of the standard of training of and functions performed by sheriffs, in a manner that enhances access to justice. 
The Compliance Manager is responsible to manage the effective and efficient compliance for the SABFS and the Sheriffs Profession. 
This position reports to: Executive Manager 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
The below highlights the key areas of focus but is not limited to: 
  • Manage the compliance process of Sheriffs with Legal Obligations Phase 1 
  • Manage the compliance process of Sheriffs with Legal Obligations Phase 2 
  • Manage the integrity of Sheriffs Statistics 
  • Manage the SABFS Compliance to all Acts 
  • Manage the maintenance of the SABFS database

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 
  • Grade 12 
  • Appropriate Degree in Law/Accounting 
  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience in the Legal & Compliance industry of which 3 years must be in middle management 
  • Code 8 driver’s licence

COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATORS (X2) 

Duration: 6-month contract 
Location: Midrand, Gauteng 
Remuneration: Market related 
The South African Board for Sheriffs (SABFS) is responsible for the maintenance of the esteem of, the enhancement of the status of, and the improvement of the standard of training of and functions performed by sheriffs, in a manner that enhances access to justice. 
The main purpose of these positions is to administer effective & efficient compliance for the SABFS and the Sheriffs Profession. 
This position reports to Manager: Compliance 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
The below highlights the key areas of focus but is not limited to: 
  • Prepare and assess Legal Obligations Phase 1 submissions 
  • Prepare and assess Legal Obligations Phase 2 submissions 
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of FFCs and ID Cards 
  • Assist with compliance-related queries, including but not limited to, queries relating to contact detail updates on the National Register/Website of the SABFS 
  • Assist with Information Requests received in terms of PAIA and POPIA 
  • Assist with various allocated compliance-related projects 
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
  • Good communication Skills (oral and written); 
  • Strong Organizational Skills; 
  • Good Interpersonal skills; 
  • Meticulous
  • Computer literate (Ms office) 
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 
  • Grade 12 
  • An appropriate formal tertiary qualification in Business administration/ Accounting or a suitable related qualification 
  • Minimum 2 years relevant compliance administration experience or experience in a legal/regulatory environment
