Sedibeng Water with its headquarters situated in Balkfontein just outside Bothaville has an operational area spanning across three (3) provinces namely: Free State, North West and Northern Cape making it one of the largest water utilities in the country. In order to meet the demands of its growth strategy, the organization is looking for suitably qualified and experienced individual to assume the following position:
 
INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) TECHNICIAN (X2)
BOTHAVILLE
 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: National diploma in Information Technology or equivalent qualification; 2 years' experience in an ICT environment; and Valid driver's license.
 
PERSON PROFILE - The incumbent must have: Knowledge of system design and development; Strong organisational and interpersonal skills; Knowledge of hardware and software maintenance; The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and Computer literacy.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and maintain computer networks; Install cables; switches and set up PC's; Make random checks on the network to determine connectivity to various sites (LAN & WAN); Install and maintain computer Hardware and Software; Create email accounts, set-up users and provide access to various systems; Set-up and connect printers (direct and network); Provide technical support to users at various regions/sites; Install and maintain antivirus software on the system; and Handle any IT related queries on a daily basis locally and in remotes sites.
