SALARY: Min R514 563.00 - Max R1 138 056.00 per annum (excluding benefits)
POST LEVEL: PL3
NAME OF THE COMPONENT: BUSINESS STUDIES
 
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12/ NCV Level 4.A National Diploma or Degree in Education, Business Studies, or a relevant field equivalent to NQF Level 7. A TVET lecturing qualification and/or Assessor and Moderator/statement of results. A minimum of five (5) years’ lecturing experience within a TVET College environment, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or coordination role. Sound knowledge of the TVET sector policies, DHET prescripts, and NATED/NC(V) curriculum frameworks. Excellent communication skill is essential with SACE registration Certificate. Strong management, leadership, administrative, and communication skills. Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between campuses. Experience working with SETA’S & QCTO or Occupational Programme as added advantage.
 
DUTIES: Provide academic leadership and management within the QCTO Occupational Programmes. Coordinate and oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all NATED Business Studies and occupational programmes. Ensure curriculum compliance with DHET policies, examination standards, and quality assurance requirements (QCTO, SETAs). Manage lecturers’ and facilitators performance, student academic performance, and the implementation of teaching and learning improvement plans. Facilitate staff development, moderation, assessment processes, and internal audits. Ensure effective classroom management, timetabling, roll out plan’s, workload allocation, and student support interventions. Liaise with industry, SETAs, and other stakeholders to strengthen work-based learning and occupational training opportunities. Participate in college committees, strategic planning, and academic board activities. Ensure that Work Integrated Learning for students takes place. Plan and implement quality management in the department or division; Contribute to the drafting of a year planner in advance featuring all operations; Promote outcomes-based Education, skills training, and learnerships. Ensure that programmes offered equip students with employability skills. interpret and make recommendations based on statistics. Contribute to the management of diploma ceremonies. Manage and control part-time classes, support tuition, and afternoon classes. Manage the administration and conduct of the National Examinations and Assessment. Establish and maintain records of staff attendance, department /division structure, circulars, timetables, class, training facilities visits, results and assessment; Participate in Learning Area Committees. Support and motivate Senior Lecturers. Encourage and sustain academic excellence and improve student results. Compile reports, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to institutional policies and deadlines. Manage the Campus in the absence of Campus Manager.
