Job Purpose: The Intergovernmental Liaison Specialist is responsible for developing, monitoring and managing government relations programmes and to give advice to management regarding Intergovernmental relations
 
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• To maintain and build relationships with all stakeholders and service providers to ensure service level requirements are met. 
• Develop, nurture and maintain the relationship between Government departments and the corporation. 
• Analyse and monitor relations between the Corporation and its government stakeholders 
• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies with various Business Units within the Corporation 
• Inform, consult or involve stakeholders from the three spheres of Government where relevant. 
• Evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies and provide feedback to the General Manager: Intergovernmental Relations 
• Conduct meetings with all stakeholders and suppliers when required 
• Identify potential changes to SLAs with suppliers and discuss these with suppliers 
• Liaise on a regular basis with all stakeholders and suppliers and ensure that relationships are maintained 
• Promote open communication to the Intergovernmental team to ensure problems are addressed timeously and effectively 
• Investigate and find suitable solutions for intergovernmental discords 
• Take the appropriate actions and implement/address with teams/individuals 
• Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements 
• To assist in development and implementation of the integrated Stakeholder Management Strategy (SMS) 
• Assist the General Manager: Intergovernmental Relations with translating Inter- Governmental strategies into the operational plan 
• Ensure an effective integration and alignment of the Intergovernmental relations operational plan with the Road Safety Stakeholder Management Section objectives 
• Stay abreast with the Intergovernmental relations operational plan and ensure that the plan is updated with the trends in Government related to Road Transport, Road Traffic and Road Safety 
• Review and research proposed public policies affecting the Corporation 
• Ensure a smooth flow of information between the Corporation and stakeholders from all three spheres of Government with a view to enhancing the implementation of policies and programmes 
• To continuously develop own personal expertise to drive personal growth 
• Develop own Individual Development Plan (IDP) reflecting current and future development requirements to drive personal development 
• Identify training, certification, and conference opportunities to attend that will add value to your personal development and to the RTMC

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 
• Matric (NQF Level4) 
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Intergovernmental Relations or Co-operative Government or Equivalent (Essential) 
• An Honours Degree in Intergovernmental Relations (Advantageous) 
• Seven (7) years’ experiences of which three (3) years must be in intergovernmental relations management role. (Essential)

Job Purpose : The Marketing and Brand Management Specialist is responsible for planning, implementation monitoring RTMC’s marketing strategy in order to increase brand awareness and improve marketing efforts. The incumbent in this role is responsible for the implementation of RTMC’s branding and corporate identity, including the facilitation of specific publication projects so that they are produced to the required standard, on time and on budget
 
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Manage expenditure planning and variances within approved budget parameters 
• Partner with business units across the Corporation on marketing plans across into the overall marketing strategy aligned to business / marketing objectives and budgets 
• Evaluate and develop business cases that will deliver against business / marketing objectives through programmes across the value chain 
• Partner with the marketing stakeholders to define and develop marketing programmes 
• Build brand awareness through various media outlets 
• Create social media strategies for both our industry and consumer content 
• Manage the social media content of the in house marketing team, making sure that the content follows the social media strategy and is in line with the brand 
• Manage social media pages/online presence - currently, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, BizCommunity 
• Manage and help create sales-focused marketing content 
• Promote open communication to the communications team to ensure problems are addressed timeously and effectively 
• Take the appropriate actions and implement/address with teams/individuals 
• Ensure that customer complaints are dealt with and resolved within all set Marketing and RTMC policies and procedures 
• Ensure that all service providers follow set RTMC policies and procedures 
• Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulative requirements 
• To deliver, monitor and improve Customer Service 
• Deliver optimal customer service to internal and external customers that adds value to the business and generates a low rate of complaints from customers 
• Deal with customer complaints quickly and effectively 
• Ensure regular communication with customers

• Develop and implement brand plans according to the set brand strategy 
• Facilitate compliance to branding protocols and policies 
• Make recommendations to the GM: Marketing regarding the Corporate Identity of the RTMC

• Be the first point of contact for any inquiries on the corporate identity, including the use of appropriate media and techniques, for in-house or external development 
• Provide support and advice to RTMC Management and staff on branding issues related to design, print, vehicle livery and signage 
• Coordinate the distribution of generic materials for business units within the Corporation 
• Advise RTMC colleagues on the organisation’s style guide and see that publications comply with the guide 
• Maintain a national corporate identity contract database (e.g. designers, printers, copy editors and signage) 
• Confirm that existing publications are regularly updated in line with latest information and statistics about RTMC’s activities 
• Liaise with the Multi-media Specialist to ensure relevant documents are published on the intranet/website and ensure consistency between printed and electronic information. 
• Work with the Road Safety Stakeholder Management Relations team to co-ordinate publication activities, establish production schedules and troubleshoot publication problems 
• Verify that publications, reports and materials are produced within specified budgets and reflect best practices.

Job Purpos : The Multi-Media Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring RTMC’s multi-media strategy in order to increase brand awareness and improve marketing efforts. The incumbent in this role will also be responsible for development of motion creative products pertaining to graphic design concepts and the development of multimedia, videography and photography services. 
 
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Ensure the implementation of the multimedia strategy for RTMC. 
• Implement social and multimedia content plans that are in consistent with RTMC’s brand identity 
• Implement metrics for measuring multi-media outcomes and determine success of every multimedia campaign 
• Provide multimedia design support 
• Create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts and promoting social media campaigns 
• Conceptualise and produce multimedia content such as audio, video, animation, infographics, stories etc for the RTMC’s website, social medial platforms, lobby monitors, emails and other channels 
• Collaborate with marketing team members to identify opportunities that will translate into compelling video and graphic storytelling across platforms. 
• Collaborate closely with marketing team members to implement multimedia into campaigns and other social content 
• Develop creative ways to leverage existing initiatives and event for use in multimedia content.

Job Purpose :The Provincial Road Safety Implementation Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of road safety programmes initiatives and campaigns provincially in alignment with the National Road Safety Strategy. 
 
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• To effectively implement Road Safety Programmes and campaigns in alignment with the National Road Safety Strategy 
• Coordinate and implement the campaign calendar for RTMC in support of and to educate SA citizens and create awareness around Road Safety. 
• Liaise with communities, schools and other role players on key Road Safety Programmes and implementation thereof. 
• Schedule all road safety programmes or campaigns requests from internal and external stakeholders on identified programmes 
• Facilitate campaigns production processes and monitor all projects from conceptualisation to the running of the road safety education programmes / campaigns 
• Prepare and implement plans for all aspects of various Road Safety campaigns 
• In conjunction with the Manager: Road Safety Programme Development and the Road Safety Programme Development Specialist, prepare appropriate budgets for all proposed programmes and campaigns 
• Collaborate with Event Promotion and Activation Officer to implement all activities for campaigns/ programmes within required timeframe and budgets 
• Assist with booking venues, entertainment, equipment and supplies as well as caterers within set supply chain management policies and procedures 
• Assist in selecting appropriate service providers for all events and ensure these are appointed within set Supply Chain Management policies and procedures 
• Identify and ensure that the appropriate target (e.g., schools, communities…etc.) audience attend the campaigns events 
• Build and maintain healthy sustainable and mutual beneficial relationships with all Road Safety implementation stakeholders 
• Gather feedback from stakeholders to improve and optimise service delivery 
• Identify issues and problems within allocated area and make recommendations to implement changes as and when required

Job Purpose : The Road Safety Programme Development Specialist is responsible for ensuring that curricula are developed and implemented and that various Road Safety related programmes are developed and aligned to the National Road Safety Strategy. The incumbent is also responsible for coordinating the implementation of these programmes. 
 
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• To develop Road Safety Programmes, in line with the National Road Safety Strategy and best practises in the Road Safety fraternity 
• Engage cross-functional, global, and regional partners to develop Road Safety programmes with the Corporation 
• Liaise with and manage stakeholders such as NGOs, Civil Societies and professional associations on Road Safety Programmes 
• Liaise with enforcement agencies and other road safety role players through formal technical committees. 
• Lobby and network with different role players to ensure the effective implementation of road safety education initiatives, working with Road Safety Implementation Coordinators 
• Develop Road Safety programme implementation frameworks and guidelines 
• Scan the international and national environment for new and relevant traffic enforcement technologies, methodologies and road safety approaches 
• Research and incorporate current trends and data into standard curriculum 
• Use the developed guidelines and frameworks for the development and implementation of road safety education programmes 
• Oversee the accreditation of education programmes by relevant education authorities.
