Traffic Trainee Lecturer

Requirements: • National Diploma or equivalent, post graduate qualification will be advantageous • At least five (5) years lecturing/teaching experience • Ability to demonstrate significant and consistent career development and progression. • High level understanding of implementing and monitoring quality assurance and enhancement processes and procedures in a high education setting.
The successful candidate must have the following attributes and competencies: • Knowledge, Interpretation and understanding of the National Road Traffic Act, National Land Traffic Act, Road Traffic Law Enforcement Legislations, Road Safety Systems, anti-corruption and other related legislation, criminal Law, Firearm Control Act • Ability to work under pressure • Report writing skills. Discipline and Conflict resolution • Interpersonal skills • People Management • Project management • Problem solving and analysis 'Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in the design, planning of the curriculum including preparation of teaching and learning materials, course documentation and delivery of high-quality programmes for the Academy • Lecture a combination of course in criminal law and procedures, Road Safety Education and Systems, Road Traffic Law Enforcement and traffic criminology, applied General English Communication, multi-skilled incumbent • Provide support for students through the use of a wide range of learning resources and appropriate practice • Regularly review and updated course content and teaching materials, • ensuring that course content remain up-to-date and relevant, incorporating advances in the subject area and utilizing appropriate technology • Assisting in the Quality Assurance process • Participate in research programmes leading to publications in key peer-reviewed academic journals and to other appropriate forms of research output.
