Purpose: Specialist: IT Risk and Business Continuity Management reports directly to the General Manager: Organisational Risk Management. The incumbent is responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation a comprehensive process of IT Risk Management and Business Continuity Management
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree plus Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) or Equivalent •Post Graduate Diploma (NQF Level 8) advantageous •8 years’ experience of which 4 years must be at management level.

Duties: Analyse the Enterprise Wide Risk Management (ERM) framework, policies, procedures and strategic review related to IT •Provide input to the development of IT governance, security and risk management strategies and framework •Maintain the ERM framework related to IT risks through identification of key risk controls, KRI's and measurement and reporting on all tangible risks affecting the Corporation •Support the General Manager: Organisational Risk Management and Executive Manager: Road Traffic Information and Technology in conducting an oversight of the RTMC’s Enterprise Risk Management strategy related to IT risks •Develop the IT risk profile aligned to the strategy and developed risk appetite statement of the Corporation. •Implement IT risk management process and tools within •Ensure compliance with all IT risk management policies and framework •Conduct research to assess the severity of risks considering proposed business decisions to protect the RTMC's IT assets and public image •Develop and ensure the implementation of tools, standards, guidelines and instructional guides regarding business continuity management and disaster management •Develop business continuity plans and facilitate their periodic testing and report on these tests outcomes to improve the Corporation’s continuity resilience.
