Purpose: The Analyst: Network Security is responsible for ensuring that the Corporation’s network devices proactively protect, shield and defend the Corporation from Cyber threats and prevent the authorised users of information systems from performing unauthorised acts.
Requirements: • Matric (NQF Level 4) • National Diploma in IT Network or IT Security Management or Equivalent (Essential) • CISA qualification (Preferred) • Bachelor’s Degree in IT Network or IT Security Management (Advantage) • 2-3 Years of experience in IT Security Management.

Duties: • Identify potential changes to SLA’s with stakeholders and discuss these with stakeholders • Liaise on a regular basis with all stakeholders and ensure that relationships are maintained • Investigate problems and find suitable solutions • Ensure that customer complaints are dealt with and resolved within all set RTMC policies and procedures • Ensure compliance with all legislatives and regulative requirements • Deliver optimal customer service to internal and external customers that adds value to the business and generates a low rate of complaints from customers • Deal with customer complaints quickly and effectively • Ensure regular communication with customers • Share customer feedback with team members to ensure customer service is improved • Continually evaluate the manner in which network devices are configured against the approved• Stay abreast of known network vulnerabilities and advise on the mitigating actions• Schedule penetration tests and ensure implementation of recommended actions • Create a schedule of risk assessment exercises and implement • Create a register of identified threats with mitigating actions • Conduct network risk assessments • Ensure that the register of identified threats is kept up to date • Compile reports regarding any identified threats and submit to the Manager • Remain up to date with relevant market trends and incorporate information into your work to add value.
