Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Litigation and Mediation, the successful incumbent will be responsible for all High Court matters within the Fund and to offer litigation services accordingly
Duties & Responsibilities
Preparation and Research on all Third Party Claims Related Litigation:
• Conduct research that will provide information in preparation of all matters for trial
• Consult with client departments/representatives, and witnesses for instructions and documentation for cases to be presented in Court
• Draft pleadings to provide clear motivation justification on a particular position pertaining to the case.
Mediation Process: • All required steps regarding the mediation process, as governed by the amendment to the rules of court, to be taken.
Represent the Road Accident Fund on all Third Party Claims Related Litigation Matters:
• Attend to Court appearances in all allocated third party litigation matters
• Ensure file administration from opening to the conclusion of a legal case including adherence to trial dates
• Handle appearances at courts, tribunals, mediation hearings and enquiries
• Coordinate administrative legal actions to ensure compliance
Approve instructions to appoint and instruct expert witnesses. Reporting:
• Ensure effective and efficient recording of all cases
• Compile weekly, monthly and annual reports
• Maintain trial register
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Four (4) year Degree in Law or equivalent
• Admission as an Attorney of the High Court
• Right of appearance in the High Court
• Relevant 5-7 years’ legal experience post-graduation or admission of which 2 years must have been on area of expertise (personal injury litigation).

Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Financial Risk Management, the successful incumbent will be responsible for Data Warehousing and Analyses, including management of payments batching and flow of cash. The incumbent will also be responsible for creation of cash flow ladders the identification of potential financial risk areas within the Fund. The role will also be required to facilitate the retrieval of specific information through simple queries from a database.
Duties & Responsibilities
Policy Review and Implementation
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policy, procedures and processes.
• Participate in the process and policy formulation in relation to management of cash and liabilities.
• Keep up to date with effective policy and practice execution strategies.
Payments Batching and Cash Flow Risk Management
• Guide the preliminary analysis of accounting and financial documents to inform decisions and identify risks to payment batching and cash flow risk.
• Guide the assessment, controlling and analysis of potential payment batching risks in several non-market related fields and how these may affect the Fund's market.
• Guide the analysis of payment batching and cash flow risk trends and construct guidelines thereon.
• Guide the designing and implementing of strategies to manage payment batching and cash flow risk.
Ensure the Development of Statistical Tools and Models
• Guide the use of various valuation techniques and tools, statistical models, and quantitative
analysis in order to contribute towards the Fund's success.
• Guide team in the use and implementation of new statistical tools and software to evaluate
risk.
• Guide the development of models and contingency plans to deal with potential threats.
Database Queries and Management Information Systems
• Utilize SQL and other programming languages to query databases across RAF Operations.
• Create macros utilizing appropriate programming languages for automation of manual
processes.
• Implement a data warehousing framework for the department.
• Verification of data sources for optimal decision making.
• Assists with process and policy formulation surrounding management of cash and liabilities.
Data Warehousing and Analyses
• Verify data sources to ensure accurate analysis.
• Facilitate pricing transfers between different business units.
• Provide data warehousing and analysis technical support to Finance and Investment
Department.
Liability Management
• Create and produce cashflow liability ladders from both Claims and Budget expenditure
• Manage liabilities batching operations in line with approved liability payment principles.
• Analyse cash gaps between cash resources and liability ladders
• Forecast interest expense and interest receivable items
• Automate reconciliation and verification checks against claim obligations.
Reporting
• Prepare and submit regulation reports as and when required to provide progress updates
and/or inform management decisions.
• Develop reports/ policies/ procedures and guide the process through the alignment of the
documents to the overall RAF’s Strategy.
• Develop functional reporting systems, for management, projects or performance reporting.
Stakeholder Management
• Facilitate and manage communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders in
relation to investments and proactively and progressively manage the relationships.
• Manage relationships with vendors, service providers or procurement teams and ensure that all relevant procured items are invoiced and paid on Time.
• Communicate with all levels of stakeholder contact.
People Management
• Ensure the sourcing, development and retention of a high-performance team.
• Manage staff in the department to ensure that they achieve their objectives in line with the
strategic objectives of the RAF. Manage the implementation of human capital processes and
procedures to control/regulate workplace conflict and/or institute corrective measures and
consultation processes to address deviations from standards.

Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, the successful incumbent is primarily responsible for leading Transformation in the Organisation by working closely with the Executive team in order to successfully deliver the strategic benefits across the complex RAF landscape. In addition, the incumbent will provide day-to-day leadership to the multiple business functions (change management, project management and business analysis) to support the ongoing refinement of the business strategy and growth plans as well as advice on implementation approaches and options.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Operational Planning
● Lead the Implementation of the Organisational Transformation business strategy and plan that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
● Lead the implementation and annual review of the overall Strategic Plan for the Organisational Transformation department.
● Provide strategic input into the plan of the current and future interventions necessary to achieve acceptable levels and standards of the RAF strategy and operational plans to the Executive forum.
Policy Review and Implementation
● Provide direction on the development and implementation of policy, procedures and processes.
● Work with appropriate structures to ensure effective execution of policy and practices.
● Provide advice and guidance to the Policy department on legislative compliance, emerging issues, risks and the implementation of changes required on policy matters.
Transformation Project Management
● Work with the Executive team to further define, scope and articulate the details behind the strategy to enable successful implementation.
● Provide direction to the Programme Management and project teams to enable timely delivery against agreed milestones.
● Design and manage programme governance to achieve coherent decision-making, effective management of programme risks and integration of transformation initiatives into business as usual.

Change Management
