The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner; and to actively promote safe use of our roads.
Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Change Management the successful incumbent is responsible for providing specialized change management initiatives by ensuring that change initiatives are implemented within the relevant designated scope of the change process. The role will also assess the impact of change on people, business processes, technology and other relevant organizational areas.
Key Performance Areas
Policy review and implementation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policy, procedures and processes.
- Keep up to date with effective policy and practice execution strategies.
Change management
- Create a positive environment within RAF for managing the process of innovation and change management.
- Engage other departments in relations to the change management and change delivery process.
- Identify risks connected to the change management process and provide actionable solutions.
- Develop, execute and communicate holistic and integrated enterprise change strategies and frameworks that support the strategic objectives of RAF.
- Utilise a structured change methodology and lead change management activities.
- Develop the change strategy for RAF and related projects.
- Provide enabling support to the change communication process.
- Measure the impact of change.
- Conduct impact analysis, assessing change readiness and identifying key stakeholders.
- Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation initiatives related to implementing change.
- Identify and manage anticipated resistance to change.
- Integrate change management activities into the project plan.
- Monitor change progress.
- Define, implement, and communicate change toolkits, governance toolkits, governance processes and aggregate transformation roadmap for the delivery of changes that will lead to business and operational benefits.
- Research and keep up-to-date with corporate governance best practices and policies to implement within the RAF’s risk management environment.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit reports as and when required to provide progress updates and/or inform management decisions.
- Develop reports/ policies/ procedures and guide the process through the alignment of the documents to the overall RAF’s strategy.
- Develop functional reporting systems, for management, projects or performance reporting.
- Prepare proposals, briefings, presentations, reports, and other documentation and provide management information both verbally and in report format.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate and manage communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders in relation to investments and proactively and progressively manage the relationships.
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers or procurement teams and ensure that all relevant procured items are invoiced and paid on Time.
- Communicate with all levels of stakeholder contact.
- Represent the Fund in relevant external activities and events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Resources/ Change Management related qualification
- Project Management related qualification will be an advantage.
- Change related qualification will be advantageous (E.g., Prosci)
- Relevant 5 - 7 years’ experience in Change management related environment of which 2 years must be in an area of expertise.
