Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Forensics Investigation Internship from unemployed graduates between the ages of 18 and 25. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previously worked anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.

 

Work based exposure may include the following

  • Training
  • Collection and presentation of evidence
  • Analysis of data
  • Investigation and evidence collection
  • Testifying
  • Report writing
  • Fraud awareness
  • Interviewing of potential witnesses
  • Preparing documents in support of investigations and criminal cases
  • Preparing documents in support of monthly reports and stats
  • Engaged and consulting stakeholders
  • To perform any FID task as and when required

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certified Grade 12/ NQF 4 level certificate.
  • Certified copy of relevant NQF7 Degree / Advanced Diploma in Forensics Accounting, Auditing, Policing or Criminology and Law
  • Certified copy of Academic transcript
  • Certified copy of your ID
  • Your CV and motivational letter
  • Applicants must be unemployed, were never employed in the field of post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of post previously.
  • The applicant must not have previously served as an intern.

  • Recruitment and Selection related to advertising; screening; short-listing and placement of candidates.
  •  Attend to all HC related queries received from management and employee
  •  Assist with administering employee relations and disciplinary issues
  •  Arrange, coordinate, and attend meetings
  •  Interpret and advise line management and employees on Human Capital policies
  •  Provide advice on grievance management
  •  Administer Leave management 
  •  Administer payroll inputs received 
  •  Deal with staff promotions, transfers, and terminations
  •  Maintain and update monthly reports.
  •  Administer the HR filing system
  •  Dealing with Performance Management related issues 
  •  Filing of CV’s and personal documents.
  •  Arrange venues, agendas and take minutes of HR related meetings.

Work based exposure may include the following

  • Manage IT incidents and requests (incidents and requests).
  • Provide daily operations support and maintenance for network and telephone infrastructure (1st line support).
  • Maintain and update the register of all IT assets.
  • Manage VC requests.
  • Monthly and weekly reports on system availability.
  • Supervise preventative maintenance of printers.
  • Establish connection and access to printers for all users.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and other activities required for efficient working of computer systems.
  • Set up new users and configure new equipment.
  • Undertake maintenance and repairs on damaged and repairable hardware.
  • Provide software and hardware configuration according to business requirements.
  • Ensure IT Service availability and continuity.
  • Provide ICT support for RAF road shows and CSCs.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Interns will be given practical workplace structured training and on the job training and development, this will be combined with the theoretical training already acquired regarding Delictual Law, Civil Procedure, Law of Evidence
  • Practice Management
  • Service and filing of documentation at Court
  • Attendance at Pre-Trial Conferences and compilation of Pre-Trial Minutes
  • General administration work
  • Drafting of correspondence, pleadings, notices, affidavits and applications
  • Observation of and assistance for State Attorneys at Court
  • Service and filing of notices
  • Judgment monitoring and case outcomes reporting
  • Filing Bills of costs upon receipt as well as assistance in opposing taxations
  • General administrative work on LMS
