Job Purpose: Responsible for all Magistrate and Regional Court matters within the Fund and to offer litigation services accordingly.

 
Minimum Job Requirements: 
Qualifications: • NQF Level 8 Legal qualification with Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. 
 
Experience: • 2 to 3 years relevant post-graduation or post-admission legal experience of which 2 years must have been in the area of expertise (personal injury litigation).

Technical: • Dispute resolution, mediation and negotiation skills • Knowledge of Law of Delict including Personal Injury and Third party compensation law • Knowledge of the RAF Act of 1996 as amended as well as the RAF Transitional Provisions Act of 2012 and its Regulations • Knowledge of Civil proceedings in the Magistrate, Regional and High Courts of South Africa • Knowledge of relevant case law and Legislation • Skills to draft pleadings and discovery of documentation on all court processes • Experience in civil litigation.

 
Key Performance Areas: • Preparation and research on all third party claims related litigation matters • Mediation process • Represent the Road Accident Fund on all third party claims related litigation matters • Settle non-litigious matters before they are set down for trial • Reporting.
 

TASK 16 Minimum Salary: R911,075
