ROAD ACCIDENT FUND (RAF) - SENIOR OFFICER VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION

The Organisation requires the services of qualified individuals at its Pretoria Regional Office for the following position:

SENIOR OFFICER VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION: T.A.S.K GRADE 12

Purpose of the Job: To manage the validation and verification team to ensure that claims are validated and verified effectively and efficiently within prescribed 60 days.

Key Performance Areas
·         Effective and efficient supervision of subordinates.
·         Ensure implementation of continuous improvements initiatives to enhance service delivery.
·         Report on the performance of the section.
·         Ensure adherence to corporate governance within the section.
·         To promote good working relations with stake holders.
·         Effective and efficient human resources management.
·         Verification and Validation of new claims (check for substantial compliance, locus standi & prescription).
·         Identifying trends and/or possible fraud – refer to FID where needed.

 
Qualifications and Experience
·         NQF 7(Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Law or related qualification.
·         Relevant 4 years working experience in a similar environment of which 1 year is on supervisory level.
·         Exposure to Insurance Environment.
·         Knowledge of Law and MVA procedure: (1) MVA Act 56 of 1996 and Amendment Act 19 of 2005; (2) Regulations to Act with hit-and-run matters; (3) Old and New Children's Act – Act 38 of 2005 which came into effect on 01/07/07; (4) COIDA – Act 130 of 1993.
·         Knowledge of Case Law.

·         Computer literacy (special reference to Claims View – search for possible linked/duplicate claims & making of relevant notes on Claims View; new Validation & Verification workflow process).

·         Good organizational skills.

Remuneration 
Total cost to company of the minimum remuneration package applicable to this position is R502 953.00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
