The Organisation requires the services of a qualified individual for the following position on a Three (3) Year Fixed Term Contract the position will be based in Head Office:-

Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Senior Pharmacist, the successful incumbent will be accountable for the drug-related development and review of treatment protocols. The role provides input in the conceptualization, planning and implementation of treatment protocols and guidelines in line with the scope of practice for a practice for a pharmacist.
Key Performance Areas
- Participate in Pharmacology Treatment Protocol Development.
- Identify prescription related problems drug/ drug interaction, allergies, under or over dosages.
- Provide input to Pharmacy Benefit design.
- Stakeholder relations management.
- Administration and report writing.
Qualifications and Experience
- B. Pharm Degree or equivalent.
- Registered with the South African Council as a Pharmacist.
- Certificate in Evidence Based training (PTCMA) or Health Technology Assessment Training (HTA) will be advantageous.
- Relevant 5 -7 years' experience as a Pharmacist of which 2 years must have been within a Medical Aid/ Managed Healthcare environment on supervisory level or area of expertise.
- With experience working with ICD 10 codes, CPT codes and NAPPI codes.

- Knowledge of the legislation governing RAF, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of the RABS Bill and its benefits.
- Knowledge of Medical Disability Guidelines applicable to trauma and MVA related conditions.
- Knowledge of the National Health Act, RAF Act and other health related legislation such as the Medical Scheme's Act, etc.
- Knowledge of Health Technology assessment measures.
- Knowledge of health standards.
- Knowledge of RAF and RABS legislation Knowledge of CMS standards and procedures.
Remuneration
Total cost to company applicable to this position is minimum R766 887.00 per annum, negotiable.
