ROAD ACCIDENT FUND (RAF)
 
The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner; and to actively promote safe use of our roads
 
The Organisation requires the services of qualified individuals for the following position that will be based at the Nelspruit Customer Service Center of Pretoria Regional Office.

Purpose of the Job: To assess and approve the liability of the Fund and in so doing settling the merits aspect of the claim. To further provide support and guidance to the merits assessment team.

Determine and collecting outstanding documentation / information
  • Obtaining information from various stakeholders in order to assess merits.
  • Appoint Assessors for merits investigation.
Approving merits offers in team
  • Applying legal principles to determine the merits of a claim.
  • To approve offers in terms of the delegation of authority.
  • Assess and co-authorise merits offers.
Negotiating settlement
  • Where there is disagreement in respect of the RAF’s liability, to negotiate settlement on behalf of the RAF.
Qualifications and Experience
  • NQF Level 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) qualification related to discipline.
  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in a claims environment.

Remuneration
Total cost to company applicable to this position is minimum R349 998.00 per annum, negotiable.
 
NB: "RAF offers Total Employment Cost packages with no additional contributions from the Employer, successful candidates are required to structure their packages in a manner that will suit their needs".
