ROAD ACCIDENT FUND (RAF)
 
The Road Accident Fund's mission is to provide cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner, and to actively promote safe use of our roads.

Main purpose of the role:To prepare and defend Magistrate court matters within the Fund's jurisdiction accordingly by the Internal Law Department.
 
Key Performance Areas
  • Internal defending of all Magistrate Court Summonses.
  • Settle non litigious matters before they are set down for trial.
  • Attend to all litigious matters.
  • Improve on customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute in the elimination of writs.
 
Qualifications & Experience
  • B Degree in Law at NQF Level 8 or equivalent
  • Admission as an Attorney of the High Court or Advocate.
  • Relevant 3 Years' experience in the Claims party environment. 
 
 
Technical and Behavioural Competencies required
  • Third party compensation law.
  • Understanding of the RAF Business Processes.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Sound knowledge of the Amendment Act and Regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of Magistrate Court Rules and Magistrate Court Act.
  • Knowledge of relevant case law and Legislation.

Remuneration
The total cost to company minimum package applicable to this position is 349 998.00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
