VACANCY: FIDELITY FUND MANAGER — (HEAD OFFICE)
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: To manage the EAAB financial processing of Fidelity Fund and ensure it is completed accurately and submitted according to policy, the PFMA and statutory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Bcompt, BTech or equivalent (Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage) • A minimum of 3-5 years management experience • Experience in financial management in the public sector (PFMA) • Proven track record of managing funds • Corporate governance of public entities and a working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations • Experience in preparing and implementing organisational support policies, procedures and processes • Knowledge and understanding of legislation applicable to EAAB, Government policies and procedures • Enterprise risk management with financial acumen • Good leadership, governance and people management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in developing the Estate Agency Fidelity Fund (EAFF) Finance strategy by engaging in strategic planning meetings, providing input and developing first draft strategy documents and plans in line with the EAFF strategy annually • Participate in developing the EAFF Finance Policies and procedures by identifying policy amendments, implementing changes and submitting for approval as required and within policy update cycle • Ensure all EAFF transaction processing is completed in line with statutory compliance requirements • Assess and manage the risk exposure for EAFF on outstanding payables and provide support to resolve as required • Ensure Fidelity Fund financials are produced and reported against in line with the Fidelity Fund management policy and procedure • Manage expenditure by tracking spend against budget allocations, approving expenditure, addressing any budget variances and providing feedback monthly and as required • Quality control and manage that all EAFF transactions are accurately captured and allocated against • Manage the risk profile of the department by reviewing the departmental risk register, developing and implementing action plans and reporting on progress against action plans • Prepare Annual Financial statement of EAFF
