The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner; and to actively promote safe use of our roads
The Organisation requires the services of qualified individuals within its Durban Regional Office for a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract for the following position: -

Purpose of the Job: The Administrative Assistant is accountable to perform administrative tasks within the quality Assurance and Complaints Department.

Remuneration
Total cost to company applicable to this position is minimum R185 338.00 per annum, negotiable.

Key Performance Areas
Promote good working relationships with stakeholders
- Ensure that RAF values are adhered to in all the dealings with stakeholders
- Ensure telephone is answered in a professional manner
- Ensure visitors are greeted in a professional manner
- Direct all calls/visitors, to the relevant officer
- Ensure files are requested as per diary system
- Allocation of files, to the relevant officer
- Completion of movement register
- Updating of electronic status register
- Return files to the relevant departments
- Ensure all correspondence is correctly filed
- Determine exactly what is required per correspondence received
- Ensure, Faxing, photocopying, emailing is completed within set time frames
Qualifications and Experience
- NQF 4 (Matric or Grade 12) qualification
- Certificate of Diploma in Office Administration will be advantageous
- Computer literacy in MS Office, Word, and Excel essential
- Relevant 1 year’s work experience in a similar environment
Technical and behavioural competencies required

- Proficiency in English and preferable one other official language
